This board hums with life...
Feb 18th, 2007 at 5:32pm

I noted today how much this board hums with life. It is always so interesting to get various perceptions on all these worthy topics. No updates for me today, as my life proceeds in its odd yet "other wordly...lol" fashion.

I have been informed that I should make the effort to go to The Monroe Institute this year. The decision is mine to make, but I was encouraged. When I asked how this was going to be possible, the reply was simply a loving laugh -- the laughter at me, of all people, with all I have accomplished and all that I have seen questioning such a simple possibility. Yes, I had to laugh at it too. Roll Eyes That was apparently my lesson for the day.

I wish you all well.

Yes, we are all trailblazers are we not?

I, too, here wonderful things about TMI. I have been drawn to it and various types of information seem to find me. Even Bruce's books are replete with information regarding the experience. I have it in my mind and will be interested in how it comes to pass.

Thanks for the warm welcome.  Smiley

Yes, this board hums with life.
However, to my way of thinking it has changed quite dramatically over the past three years since I first found it. I often wonder why I do not see many of the members who posted, say, two years or so ago, posting any more or only very rarely. Then again, I`m in the same boat. I visit frequently but post infrequently these days.

One thing which does stand out to me is that this section is supposed to be about "Afterlife Knowledge" but is very often hijacked by totally irrelevant topics and does not stick to that specific point. Even this posting of mine shouldn`t be here - but how else could I give my reply to this?
I also get the feeling that the majority here are what I would call the younger set, these days. It might be interesting if someone had a poll of the age range of those who post here.
Also, as my final point can some kind soul who doesn`t use their real name in posts please tell me why they do not use it but appear to hide behind some "nom de plume"?
Sorry, I`m not wanting to offend anyone but these points pass through my mind.

Hi Roger. nice to know your name btw Smiley  are u just noticing most of us are off topic?
haha!  been like that ever since I been here. guess its just human nature to be thinking not in a global sense, as maybe thats a step by step deal.
its ok, we need to be able to say welcome to the board, and other threads get into some heavier stuff from time to time. whatever, we is what we is.

still, we rock! look around at other forums, you'll see the difference.

the thing with non de plume, its a self image thing...you fake it until you make it idea.
wanna be superman? fine. step up to the plate. wanna be betty boop? ok, have some fun with it. then others are protecting themselves perhaps because it hurts to get slam dunked for any reason, so it could be a shield also. but that leads us back to just having a relaxed atmosphere where we can also express a feeling, to say, hey, welcome aboard..what u see is what u get...going to TMI? hey, go for it.
but we have fine peer moderators can leaven things if they get hairy.

love to you, you're an oldie but goodie like me. alysia

Hiya, Alysia,
You`re bank on the nail - I am an oldie and I recognise you as one of the postees of some time ago. I never thought about the Afterlife and what it holds in store for us until I lost my wife some three and a half years ago. Too busy getting on with life I suppose and not realising how quickly time was passing by.
My trouble is I`m a stickler for attention to detail and doing things right, which is why I commented about the hijacking. On a serious note though, I am very pleased I found this site and still find it very interesting. Just wished I knew then (when my wife passed over) what I know now, as it would have made a tremendous difference to my way thinking at the time.
No doubt it`s good that younger people take an interest in the Afterlife, which may better prepare them for the ultimate journey.
Would love to attend TMI but as I live in the U.K. that`s most unlikely.

Love and best wishes to a peer,
roger Smiley

Roger,

Check out the TMI site -- I think they travel to England once per year.

Eternal Essence - Now, since you hijacked the forum you must come up with something interesting about the afterlife that "rings" with truth, or ask an intriguing question about the afterlife!! LOL j/k I do it all the time as well!! Smiley

LOL. I honestly didn't think that I had hijacked the board. But here's a thought.

The afterlife as the "real" life beyond the physical limitations that confine us within third-dimensional reality. This life is the dream. When our physical eyes close, either in physical slumber or death, we awaken to the "real life" or "afterlife" if you so choose. Everynight when we "sleep", we are actually only awakening to the truth that exists beneath the illusion of the dream we create?

Roger

Don't let living in the UK stop you from attending TMI!  I live in Australia and am booked into TMI in May 2007 for Gateway and Lifelife.  Of course I had to do a huge amount of financial saving to get there but as they say "where there's a will, there's a way".

Oh, Irene!

You and I may hit TMI at about the same time. I just discovered today that a new opportunity has arisen that would generate the exact amount I would need. Depending upon that particular manifestation, I would say it would be between May and October for my TMI experience. Do keep notes.

Exactly, life is but a dream! This life is the illusion. The earth is our schooling to evolve into spiritual people..

Dreams are more real and show us what are next life will be like!
