I had a really amazing experience last night. 

We got a Sphynx kitten 9 days ago.  His name is Winston.  He’s 15 weeks old and he adapted to us and our home and routine so quickly.  He’s so clever!  And he’s so playful, and so loving.  We’ve converted our spare bedroom into a bedroom for the cats…in three weeks we will get to pick up his sister.  (She’s a month younger from a different momma).

At night we put Winston is his covered cat bed in his bedroom and we shut the door.  My son and I also each sleep with our bedroom doors closed. 

Last night at a little past 3 am I woke up from a dream.  I was laying on my back and was about to roll over on my right side when I suddenly felt Winston crawling on my pillow above my head and walk down to right side of my head.  It startled the heck out of me!  I opened my eyes and looked but couldn’t see him.  In my mind I was thinking, “there’s no way he’s actually in here.”  It really kind of scared me because it was so real.  But I assumed I must have just imaged it, so I closed my eyes again and just stayed laying on my back.

But then I felt Winston walk on my right arm.  I immediately opened my eyes again and then felt him walk over my arm and into the crook of my arm, and then lay down between the crook of my arm and my arm pit.  His face was pointing toward me and I could feel him purring and hear him purring!

I knew I was wide awake and it startled me so much that I half sat up looking around.  My door was closed, so I knew he could not have come into my room.  I tried to go back to sleep but I was just too rattled by this, so I got up to use the bathroom and then check my blood sugar and I stayed up for a couple extra minutes to shake off being so startled. 

I think my kitten was visiting me by astral projection!  I’m certain I was actually physically awake (and not just in a Focus 10 state).  It also really did scare me a little bit.  And I know from past experiences if I had been physically asleep but consciously awake that I would not have been startled or scared. 

So when my son got up this morning I couldn’t wait to tell him about it.   He said that a few nights ago he actually had the same kind of thing happen to him.  He said he had woken up in the middle of the night and was just laying there a few moments when he suddenly felt Winston crawling in his bed.  That made him open his eyes and look in the bed, and also look to see that the door was indeed shut.  He didn’t get all the way up but felt around the bed to make sure Winston wasn’t really in the bed, and then he went back to sleep.

My son swears he was actually awake, and I really do believe I was too.  I think the reason why we were able to feel Winston (assuming he actually was AP’ing) is because having just woken up from such a deep state of consciousness and being so close to that level of consciousness.  Like for me, the dream I had been having was so fresh in my mind I could have easily closed my eyes and gone back into dreaming pretty quickly.

I think that state of consciousness makes it easy to perceive nonphysically and that’s why I was able to feel and hear him so easily as if it were a physical experience.

The forum isn’t dead.  It’s here preserving all of its contents for anyone to access.  As long as someone is alive to keep this forum here preserving it, it is still serving a valuable purpose.  A lot of people want to have the information provided here but don’t want to post.  Social media has taken over, but this site will stay up in Bruce’s legacy.

Hi, All,
I am so glad you posted, Vickie.  I've been checking the site at least three times a week looking for posts.  This site is a great teacher if a person is willing to do the digging.  As to animals appearing to us, our family had a beautiful Boxer who turned out to be my dog.  In his old age he became ill and started to go downhill very quickly.  My husband took him to the vet, and he and the vet decided it was time for him to cross over.  I didn't know. 
   I was home and I heard him bark at the back door.  I opened the door and felt him brush past me.  When I turned to look at him, he wasn't there.  I was awake and on my feet.  I had just walked across my kitchen, and I knew I had just let my dog in.  Even after all these years I still miss him.     He was a wonderful friend.
   Animals have all kinds of talents, especially those who attach themselves to us.  The greatest being the unconditional love they give us.  What a gift they are!
