The nature/interaction of "guidance"
Mar 24th, 2017 at 5:39pm

From certain sources, I've gotten a picture of guidance only ever being this super gentle, indirect, very kind of feminine/Yin force.  It's like a soft eyed doe, running just ahead of you out of sight, and perhaps dangling your favorite snack occasionally to get your attention.

Yet, both in my experience and in observing the lives of others, I've seen a different picture--one where guidance can be quite Yang/Fire/masculine at times.

Take Yeshua's life for example. Clearly the man could be authoritative, directive, and/or quite Yang or Fiery at times.  At one point, in anger he took a cord of whips and physically drove out the money lenders/changers from the Temple area. He didn't just speak strongly and critically to the corrupt religious leaders like the Pharisees.  He occasionally spoke like that to us regular folk.  Like the woman at the well who refused him a drink because they weren't of the same groups.  He says to her something like, "Woman, you hardly know the meaning of husband/marriage" and goes to outline her personal romantic history in an unflattering light.

Take Rosalind McKnight's main guide, "Ah So", whom by all accounts seems very wise, loving, knowledgeable and mature.

At one point, he talked quite sternly to Bob Monroe and Rosie.

I have my own examples/experiences.  The examples of Edgar Cayce are particularly illustrating.  At least one time his guidance referred to him as both stubborn and someone whom treated his temple like a pig.

So it would seem that Guidance doesn't just take express a Yin/Feminine and/or Water type attunement. Sometimes it's definitely Yang/Masculine and/or Fire.  If you ever view/tune into the life/personality of John the Baptist, you would be like, Whoa dude, you're just a wee bit intense. Yet, he came with a purpose and quite a high one, to prepare the way for Yeshua, the Teacher of teachers, the Guides of guides.

Here's an ironic situation:  Bob Monroe angrily fires his personal friend and the 7 year long Director of Training at his Institute, Melissa Jager, because he thinks she was interjecting her own beliefs too much in relation to others experiences.  Yet, Bob's approach was suppose to be "live and let live", each person should follow their own guidance.  Did he ever consider that maybe she was following her own inner guidance in the counseling she was giving?

It seems that Bob Monroe had a strong belief of "non interference". While it is generally a good and healthy approach, like anything, it can be taken too far and become too extreme.  Once it becomes an entrenched belief and overly fixed, then it can lead to issues, because ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL SITUATIONS and individuals.

Truth and constructive actions/interaction is often somewhat relative.  I could see where a person whom had such a strong emphasis on Fixed signs (Scorpio and Leo primarily) in his astro chart, might get a little over set in their ways and views at times or in some areas.

Sometimes guidance cares less about our feelings and belief system attachments, and more about our spiritual growth.

One of the most unloving, intolerant acts there is, is to silence/get rid of an individual.  Notice how it's always the most potent truth speakers in the world and in history whom others try to get rid of and silence in some way or another?   The list of humans that have been imprisoned, banished, killed, or otherwise silenced for speaking uncomfortable, potent truth to others, is a sadly long one.

Justin, a lot of things can be conceptual.

For example, I've seen people taking on the approach of having no pre-conceived ideas whatsoever, in a way that doesn't represent true wisdom and transcendence.

I know of a man that can't figure anything out when it comes to spirituality, because he applies the no belief approach in a rigid way. His framework of mind is the result of reading what nondual gurus and Buddhist teachings say. Psychological conditioning can happen in ironic ways.

I believe a balanced approach is needed. With such an approach one will be able to recognize when previous notions have a significant basis in truth. We are beings that are able to accumulate truth-based knowledge. It isn't a matter of obtaining a thought free mind.

Exactly Albert, balance and context (the bigger picture) are key.  Truth is a growing thing.

It's easy to either over do, or under do, things at times*.  Yet, for certain things and situations, it would seem to make sense to err a bit on the Yang side.

*This is because all of us who are not yet "He/She's", have an innate polarization/imbalance to either the inner Yang or inner Yin and have a unique blend of proportion within.  Sometimes for an individual, they go in cycles of switching between these.  I've gone through some very Yin periods/cycles.  One was when transit Neptune was conjoining my natal Sun, which also rules my Ascendant/First House cusp (in other words, the consciousness that Neptune represents became very highlighted in my life and psyche at this time).  Neptune is a beautiful symbol in many ways, but she is over Yin for sure, as is Venus, and the Moon (interestingly, all the "feminine" planets in astrology).  In astrology, there is no more emphasis of a Planet and the consciousness that it represents than when it's either conjunct the Ascendant or in the 1st House (especially the Planet closest to the Ascendant degree). So a person born with Neptune in the 1st, would be VERY attuned to Neptune and the consciousness and vibe it symbolizes.

The ideal state is a perfect balance and integration between Yin and Yang (like in He/She), so that we can approach every individual, unique situation with the proper and most helpful proportion of Yin and Yang.  For one situation, it might be better to be a bit more Yin than Yang, and in another, it might be better to be a bit more Yang than Yin.  Really just depends.

In astrology, the Sign that deals most with both balance and closer relationships is that of Libra--a Masculine Sign ruled by a Feminine Planet, Venus (the Planet of personal love, beauty, harmony, sociability, etc). We learn or experience balance partly through our more affecting interactions and relationships with others, or at least, that's part of the purpose.  Having Moon in Libra with Venus and South Node in the 7th House of others/close relationships, I've given much thought to the issue and nature of balance.
