It seems like developing control of focusing conciousness may be one of the things we are here to learn. I don't think it comes easily. The Buddhists always remind us that meditation helps develope the ability to focus. (I've been hearing a lot lately about "mindfulness" so this must be a topic of broad interest). Or is that just Zen? And in recalling MOnroe's initial book, it seems he just went wherever. Did he exercise a lot of control over where he went, at least initially?
Perhaps the subconcious mind is also involved? Whatever is in the subconcious must surely affect whatever our efforts are to create our reality, and going to a designated "place" obe is surely a form of creating our reality.
Then too, having spent several days on the roof decreasing the amount of snow and ice there, and around the driveway also, I can surely agree with the "recharge" argument!
