Yes, I've wondered about that also. Do you mean aspects of oneself specifically or aspects as just a part of the person they seem to represent? Either way, I've wondered about it 

One time when I was wondering if all the retrievals I'd experienced (not so many at that time) were aspects of myself, it was shown to me that one was an aspect of my brother. And he had seemed cheerier since that retrieval had cleared up a misunderstanding!

But if I'd taken my brother's problem to heart, perhaps it was yet an aspect of myself that I'd absorbed through empathy for my brother...?

Yes, it does make it more complicated to talk about!
