There is a topic on another forum I belong to (Astral Dynamics, if I'm allowed to mention the name) where someone complained that they felt the astral planes had been 'removed"; a number of other people also posted that they could no longer project as they used to, & I too have found it impossible since around that time,  to get out of the body beyond my bedroom- I simply can not get through the ceiling!

Could it really be a "tweaking" of everyone's abilities, as someone there suggested?  Can the planes really be "removed" (I think Mme Blavatsky mentioned this possibility in some of her writings) or is this really a self-fulfulling fear/expectation?

I'd really appreciate some more experienced soul's input!

Betson, I totally agree with you.

The idea that the astral planes are being removed is simply not true.  I have read and responded to that post on the AD forums.  This guy found he was no longer able to astral project, and went looking for the reason why.  He found an answer which he liked in an article written by a "channel of nature".. elephants and walruses to be exact (LOL!!!).  I wasnt able to read the whole article because it was basically an endless ramble, but what he got from the article was that the planes were being removed.  He obviously liked this answer because it placed the problem outside of himself, that it was not him, it was the PLANES which were being removed! 

I can say from first hand experience that this is not the case, I have had many projections since the initial writing of the original article.  Many other projectors on other forums have as well.  If you are not able to project to a certain level, it simply means your energy is not tuned finely enough to experience that level.
