Dude:

You're younger than me, so I figure I'll die before you. Would it be okay for me to tell you where I burried money in a can in the ground, and sometime after I die you'll search for my next incarnation and tell me where I can find the can?

I'd like to make the same deal with George and Alan, only they'll tell me where they hid the can.
