Lets try a simple telephathy game as a start
May 16th, 2008 at 10:31pm

Hi guys,

What about an attempt at telepathy as you the target and me the influencer from a far distance  So I will try to influence your choice by just thinking

First I want to stress that you must do the simple exercise below by not thinking about but just drawing whatever comes into your mind “Get a pencil and paper” please only then scroll; down and view the very simple task If you find it of interest we can try others

Draw what immediately comes into your mind and PLEASE DON’T POST WHAT YOU HAVE DRAWN. I WANT TO WAITE UNTIL A GOOD FEW HAVE READ THIS THREAD AND ALSO RESPONDED TO IT BEFORE I TELL YOU WHAT MOST OF YOU HAVE DRAWN ON YOUR PAPER

Now you can scroll down and try

"try to draw an object inside another object making certain you have circumventing logic and drawn exactly what first popped into your mind"

Hi guys,

I see 50 have read the thread and only 5 have indicated an interest, Lets wait until Tuesaday 20.00 GMT and I will reveal what I think most people drew. Even the other 46 that did not activily respond. They should if I am close.

hello dearie, I have mine drawn also.

not sure if those are 50 individual counts of views. sometimes when the count of thread views is high, it indicates the same viewers are viewing on different days and thats what the counter is picking up.

or is the brain of the board able to know when a computer user is clicking on a thread to view on different days? I think each click is a count.

well, when it gets to be like 900 views or 1200, it seems like these are repeat hits when it's that busy..but you may be right 50 people could have read this. whoops! up to 83 as of this post.

I just checked by clicking in and then back out, then in again - it looks like it counts individual views, unless someone passed through even quicker than I did (i.e., without reading).

Hi Alan

Sorry I was trying to just read and avoid thinking and I immediately didn't get what you meant by "making certain you have circumventing logic " and I focused on trying to understand that. But I did sort of see ...something. But it is what I would see if presented with that problem by anyone, so I don't know, if you had the same picture in mind, if that would demonstrate telepathy. Anyway, I will check tomorrow to see what you  had in mind.

Hey and Hi!

It's tuesday! Time to find out if our sketches are similiar!

Last weekend Alan accomplished a wonderful healing  on me by dissolving a knot of fear near my heart!
I'm publically thnking him because that's OK to do, isn't it? I know we've publically thanked Juditha for her help before. And have seen Gordon thanked. And Bruce. And....
Actually there's quite a list of you all if we were to start posting our thanks....

Love, Bets

Hi guys, I post these results early due to time zones and I think the really interested have all come on board

The great reveal of the fallible psychic come mystic.

Before I reveal what I attempted to influence you to draw, I would like to emphasise how absolutely infinitesimly minutely vanishingly small it would be to even come remotely close, to even one of you guys to drawing the correct object.

I asked you to draw two objects one inside the other, correct?. I just want you to stop here and ask you to think of the billions or zillions of objects there are out there combined by the unlikelyhood of you drawing two of them, one inside of the other. Got me point I hope? I generalised the whole experiment leaving it wide open by not specifying geometrical shapes or objects of nature etc etc.

Just to emphazise how even more how unlikely it is for me to even have “one hit”, we must consider the tiny number of people participating in this experiment. Rhine and Co when trying to verify and validate the truth of psychic abilities such as telephathy etc, used huge numbers of participants, who took hundreds of thousands of tests and found only a tiny mnute deviation from chance.

Strangly sometimes these deviations were in the negative direction, seeming to indicate that just by experimenting less positive results where sometimes the result, no matter how hard the participants tried to project the image

As an Industrial/ Mechanical Engineer I have some knowledge of statistics and proberbility facturisation

That’s my two cents worth, first read just a few of the objects/shapes amongst the almost infinity of possible shapes you might have chosed to draw, and only then scoll down and see how close I got.

Read just a few of the type of shapes or objects below that, you might have drawn and then take into consideration I asked you to draw one inside the other making the whole exercise even more difficult

This is what I tried to get you guys to draw. Either a circle with a triangle inside or the reverse.

The naughty ones who took a little time to think about it might have drawn a circle with a square or box inside, but what did really first come into your mind

If I am not remotely correct then I must admit as a remote influencing telepath I am a failure, but that is OK with me as the experiments was fun

Hello,

[Here's an odd one:
I was on this thread and wrote a reply to it, which then turned up over on recoverer's disk dream.--weird Roll Eyes ]

I drew an egg with a fuzzy chick inside. The egg was a wide one, but it was still an oval rather than a circle.  The chick's body would fit into a triangle sorta because its little wings stuck out abit and its head was small but it was still a chick, ovalish.

So no points for me, eh?

Bets

In my defence I'd like to add that when I've tried a remote viewing experience that I found on the web, I can sketch a very brief 'thumbnail sketch' of the major shapes but can't get the details to see what they were--like a sailboat would show as a triangle, that kind of abstraction.
So in a way I came close Grin Cheesy if you will count an oval as an abstract circle, etc

Hmmm. Not bad. I had an outline 3D cube with a sphere inside seen from 45 deg above with one corner facing the viewer - so that the top surface and two visible sides are seen as diamonds.

The diamonds might suggest it's possible that I was picking up the triangle and sphere but rationalised it into a cube.

I guess as in all of these things it's both a matter of transmission, and a matter of receiving. I did get a very definite impression in the usual grainy black/white of my other remote viewing attempts.

Much like Bets my RV so far seems to present as shapes such as she describes - for example on a Gateway programme I had the St Louis arch as a shiny metal arched bridge. (I thought perhaps the then high profile Millau viaduct in France) Right shape, right finish but wrong item....

Alan

Of course the first thing that came to mind was the polygon inside the circle, but for any of us with any math in our backgrounds, one of the the quintessential examples from the study of the concept of limits is, well, just going to be a natural thing to pop into the mind. So I tried to resist it and think of something else (not your instructions, but I thought I was overlaying my background onto your problem. )

I like the chicken in the egg...I forget how an oval-teardrop shape is defined mathematically but its equation might relate to that for a circle.

OK Alan what is our next target?

It is more fun to practice this here with board members, but if anyone wants some extra practice, here is a link to a site that offers that:

I wasn't feeling confident about this, but I tried it on a paper towel anyway a couple of days ago, or whenever the post popped up here.

First, on one side of the paper towel, I drew a point inside a circle. I felt that wasn't enough.

Then, on the other side of the paper towel, I drew a bean shaped object inside a circle. Like a pinto bean, I guess. It was supposed to be kind of a "sprout" in my imagination.....

The image that first popped into my mind was of a "pregnancy" but I wasn't about to start drawing that.

ha ha, blink

Hmmm... I drew a triangle with a circle inside of it when I first read your post Alan. Then a couple days later on the same piece of paper I drew an egg shape with a circle inside of it.

And... lol  Smiley after I drew the egg shape with the circle I put two eyes a small nose and mouth to resemble a babies face inside the egg shape.

This is fun!  Lets do it again!

I'm not into math, I got a D back in junior high in algebra Lucy.

Alan, the first time I read this test it just popped up what to draw and I jotted it down immediately and waited for tuesday..

I think I'll go into photoshop and draw it and put it here for fun.

also, Alan, if you drew any objects, I saw only blankness on your post where the objects were supposed to be, don't know if anyone else was seeing on your post something there. I did see your words.

I drew a square box with a circle inside, then as an afterthought I put a straight line down the middle of the circle, then I made wavy back and forth half moons circling down the line, sort of like a DNA strand maybe.
this DNA strand is something I've doodled all my life and never known why exactly, but is pleasing to my eye.

how exiting! what a fun thread. it shows our oneness aspect of mind, how we are connected with this abstract part of the mind. how we can effect each other either positively  or negatively in our society, the possibilities are endless for healing each other of whatever.

Look how receptive is SSh!  everybody did good to my perception. noteworthy is my DNA strand, linked to a baby chick and a pregnant woman indicating the science of Life linked to forms and perhaps to Math principles. Life is a circle of seasons.

Perhaps most noteworthy, Bets jumps in here with a thank you to Alan for helping her with a knot of fear around her heart. She seems to drop this on us very causally as if it's just an afterthought. This is what I call a miracle performed. It should have in all right, it's own thread title all by itself. It would generate much talk, because I would be there like a fly on s....   Miracles is my area of reflection for many years, as related to the healing upon the body or mind..heal the mind, the body will respond to the healing of the mind..dissolve the fear thoughts with Love, you have a miracle on your hands, and we are truly now demonstrating miracles in many ways, as I look for this sort of thing.

keep in mind there are no large nor small miracles, they are all the same size, every act of healing is a miracle having such wide reaching effect, we cannot imagine. all acts of love, in the same way are maximal..everytime someone extends healing to another, it is a miracle. if today is not the time to do miracles, then I always used to wonder when is?

Hey Alan....good work.

Dear Alan,

I hope you will tell us more of how you did that !---

did you repeatedly go back and look/draw those images?
did you think on each  of our names here or in other ways try to direct your images?

It is Vesak Day, the day of celebration of Buddha's birthday (celebrating his enlightenment and passing, as well). The picture/painting of the Buddha which I was just viewing showed him under the bodhi tree, sitting in meditation, with a halo shining around his head. His followers are standing before him. He is sitting on a very large lotus blossom.

As he sits in this meditation pose, legs crossed, he looks like a triangle rising from the circle of the lotus blossom beneath him.

Happy Buddha's Birthday to all....         Smiley blink

I suppose the balloon could be a circle, but it's a stretch.

Now Guys,

Let us sum this up one by one. Before this, I dare anyone to go to any of these supposed online psychics and come them even remotely near to my efforts under the exact same conditions.

Bets
Quote:
I drew an egg with a fuzzy chick inside. The egg was a wide one, but it was still an oval rather than a circle.  The chick's body would fit into a triangle sorta because its little wings stuck out abit and its head was small but it was still a chick, ovalish.

You definitely have points Bets at least fifty % on target the oval is a round shape or object and of the countless billion possibilities you chose this. The chick’s body showed your artistic nature and you just possible thought too long before drawing, naughty

Varga.
Quote:
Hmmm. Not bad. I had an outline 3D cube with a sphere inside seen from 45 deg above with one corner facing the viewer - so that the top surface and two visible sides are seen as diamonds.

Yes but did I not say the naughty ones might draw square or box inside a circle or the reverse just as you seem to have done. If a miss very near to the bull’s eye I think.

SHSS

Ah!! AWELL BEHAVED CONTESTANT DID EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED AND DREW THE first thing that came into mind. Exact hit

Lucy
Quote:
I like the chicken in the egg...I forget how an oval-teardrop shape is defined mathematically but its equation might relate to that for a circle

This was by no means meant to be mathematical in nature and the oval is as good as a round circle so you also came under my influence dear by drawing it. Naughty for thinking to long about it

Quote:
Okay, I was out before I started - I thought you wanted an object in another object, so I drew a flower in a balloon...I wasn't even thinking of geometric concepts or shapes...

I suppose the balloon could be a circle, but it's a stretch

By no means a stretch of the billions and zillions of objects you could have chosen to draw why a balloon. I see this as a 50% hit.

Blink

First, on one side of the paper towel, I drew a point inside a circle. I felt that wasn't enough. Also the bright halo a circle and legs triangle right?

By thinking about it you brought your own mind to the for and weakened the influence, but the circle again how likely to draw this amongst the infinity of choices out there.

Hmmm... I drew a triangle with a circle inside of it when I first read your post Alan. Then a couple days later on the same piece of paper I drew an egg shape with a circle inside of it

A 100& hit you first drew the exact I sent to you guys, then became naughty and thought about it

Spooky

Not silly but the telephone old-style very near to a square, dial up disk a circle right , just what I wanted you to draw.

Alysia.

I here I am here not ducking and diving in abject fear,

It was fuk but I dont think Bruce would approve it we continue, A suggestion however, how about one of you guys being bold and trying toe same on the rest of us. Just kidding

Bets asked how I did it. I just lay down and projected once a thought at each of you the two possible images I wanted you to draw, first was a cirle in a triangle or the reverse (I consider this one object, secondary image was a square or box inside a circle again considered as one object

what do you guys think?

Think it's spot on and for real if a little imprecise Alan. That's the second time i've seen this sort of exercise and personally experienced definite communication.

The other session was the RV exercise at a Gateway programme that I mentioned - as a group we seem to have done far better than that as there were only two of us out of a group of around 20 that got close on that occasion. Perhaps understandable given that (a) you were actively sending (the RV session was just a passive photo in an envelope) and (b) the composition of this group who are probably good receivers. (it's presumably a two way process)

The process is so interesting. We don't seem to exchange thoughts or anything like that. Whatever it is that's communicated is received and then converted into an image or thought, and then a memory. It demonstrates so clearly the way we (presumably receiving correctly) so quickly overlay a conceptual interpretation on the original sensing, which them becomes what we think we perceived. How our perception is so heavily determined by the thinking/ego aspect of our own mind.

'With our minds we make the world.' What in heaven are we at this rate doing to our everyday realities?

I also on the same occasion as the above experienced being easily able to exert influence on the use of divining rods. (L shaped wire pointers held in the hands that swing together for one answer, apart for the other) Not just once, but repeatedly. I found I could 'will' the rods to move while they were being used by somebody else at the opposite side of the room.

I was eventually caught in the act, which caused quite a laugh.

I wonder if this too is mind influencing mind, and then the rods. Or might it have been direct physical action??

Aha--the process required a 'blank slate'!

Alan, IMO you are way too stimulating to approach with our minds blank--hence the telephones, balloons, eggs, etc!   Cheesy

That was much fun!

Varga, your mind continues to fascinate with its varied 'outputs'!  Smiley

What I find interesting especially after reading Vajra’s post is that several women essentially drew an embryo of sorts and had thoughts of reproduction.

At first I thought it might be possible that we were picking up on each other’s thoughts, however since Ian mentions the ego the similarities could possibly be a female/maternal instinct highly ingrained in our ego identification with a woman’s role as a mother. What do all of you think?

also, Alan, if you drew any objects, I saw only blankness on your post where the objects were supposed to be, don't know if anyone else was seeing on your post something there. I did see your words

I would have shown the shapes/objects but blush blus blush blush this wonderful psychic does not know how . Alysia dear please show me how by PM.

Kathy girl you got it I am not the only sensitive here "we all are", thus our group mind coming into play and Varga influencing the expiment in another direction. You guys just need a little practise.

Lastly I would like you to know that I made the test much more difficult for me,  by asking you to draw "objects" (man !! that left it wide open did it not) Nearly everything we come into contact could be an object, house, tree, moon, building etc etc

You guys drew geometric shapes and if I had requested that it would have narrowed down the field would it not.

Remember the remote viewing I did a while ago where the process ,was the reverse, you the infuencer and me the targer trying to reach something significant in your lifes, revisit that if you want to

Alan, the list of possible geometric shapes were available to read on your post. such as octogons, hexogons, I have no knowledge what these shapes are due to I didn't take a college course on geometrics. but I still read the words and wondered what they were.

A better experiment would be to leave off a list of all the possible geometric shapes and just ask for an object of any depth, any object seen that first pops up..
of course the level of success would be reduced..end of experiment then.

left brain was active in me, to ask "what is he projecting?" immediately I saw the square and drew it. the circle HAS to go inside the box (my way of thinking) as I simply could not conceive of a box being inside of a circle...

but it was quite easy to put a circle inside of a box for some reason. I'm thinking about the why of that right now.

the squiggley dna strand I added later, I thought in my silly way was a gift I would give you, but I somehow knew I was being naughty... Smiley

This is what I said at the reveal

This is what I tried to get you guys to draw.

Either a circle with a triangle inside or the reverse.

The "naughty ones" who took a little time to think about it might have drawn a circle with a square or box inside, but what did really first come into your mind. Note alysia this is exactly what you did 100% hit lady

If I am not remotely correct then I must admit as a remote influencing telepath I am a failure, but that is OK with me as the experiments was fun

"Note there were no geometrical shapes or object in the first post where I started the thread" I only listed them IN MY LAST POST JUST TO SHOW HOW UNLIKELY IT WOULD BE TO GUESS THE RESULTS (I AM NOT SHOUTING  JUST HIGH LIGHTING)

My second option and you drew exacly what I wanted you to draw, What made you think about a circle or box, certainly not from from any hints a gave

Cheesy  Wow!---Look how complicated a couple of geometric shapes can get!

Kathy, I think you're the naughty one!   Embarrassed  Cheesy  Putting maternal thoughts into my old grey head !
But I'm not sure that a flower can be nurtured inside a balloon  Smiley
Even if we chose the circle for the outside, there's still alot of material objects to choose from-- saucers, portholes, buttons, rings, a plate with roasted chickybird...

I for one would never approach Alan with a blank mind, or any of you for that matter !
But if this telepathy game is a start, lead on !

Cheesy Bets

lol. I will admit to only one thing..Alan gave us a good time.

question: is rectangle a square? sorry. Juditha and SHSS seemed to be getting it exactly correct with the triangle. I had a long box drawn. I think that is a rectangle. not sure. but close enough to say we conclude it was very successful experiment, and for that Alan deserves to shout.

Judittha dear,

I am so sorry!! you drew exactly what I projected as my first choice Remarably good you are very psychic dear as the remote viewing exercise also showed

Alysia

Your quote

[color=#000000]Well not exactly a square, you drew a rectangle, but very close indeed I see it as a hit as you drew a four sided shape with a circle inside.

I will attempt to summerise this expirement properly and post it in a way that is more understandable

The term I used "telepathy test" is wrong, maybe more of a remote viewing, me sort of peeking at your drawings, not influencing your thoughts, this would be immoral. God prevents us from just going into another persons mind and trampling on this most private of sanctuaries
.

You're right, Cricket!

Thanks for pointing that out!
I had noticed that aspect a few years ago when I saw rows of clear plastic large sodapop bottles with the bottoms cut out  placed in rows in gardens. It looked like a parade of little hothouse mommas !

Alan, hey...you said:  Well not exactly a square, you drew a rectangle, but very close indeed I see it as a hit as you drew a four sided shape with a circle inside.
____

not to run the thread in the ground or anything but... Cool  I wanted to illustrate how mind transference is done...I mean far be it from me, but I try..

well, now I had this question what a rectangle was. and something told me it was a long box as opposed to a square, but I wasn't sure I was hearing correctly.
So I drew this long box, then something said no, it's not to be a long box. it's to be a box period.

So I then cut off the long end to make it a square. I wonder if part of your mind was there with me? or perhaps we share guides? possibly, one way to explain mind transference as I remember every sequence of the act of drawing.

well I think we've proven something. I'm up for more fun and games if anyone invents one.

love, alysia

Alysia the fun never ends!!

Ah!!! This wicked wizard made you draw in the end exactly what he wanted you to draw a box is as good as a square to me.

Remember guys please I said draw any object but you just went ahead and drew a shape instead. Now an object can be just about anything except a shape like you people drew.

A geometric shape is most definitely not an object, it is a one-dimensional representative of a perceived shape. Ok Alysia did at first draw a box at, and then fell under my evil influence and drew a square, which is a shape.

Definition "object" is.  "A material thing that can be seen and touched"

Definition  "shapes” "the external form or appearance of something as produced by its outline. Or something depicted one-dimensional on paper

"Readers Digest Word Power Dictionary"

Now think about it again, muse long and painfully why did you draw shapes instead of three-dimensional objects????

Alan quote: "try to draw an object inside another object making certain you have circumventing logic and drawn exactly what first popped into your mind"  (date of post may 16)

I was mistaken in another post and was arguing with you, and I see I lost the argument! glad too! haha! where on May 20, you listed a bunch of geometric shapes with which it was possible to draw.

On may 16 I drew my object as mentioned. so your may 20th list of possibilities had no influence on my subconscious as I formerly thought. the object did indeed pop up with no thought along with a "yes" feeling, a tinge of fun.

I somehow later got these two posts rolled up into one post and took off on a negative frame of mind.
I apologize. i was not reading carefully enough.

If I'd noticed the chick and egg, the balloon and different objects that it is possible to come up with, I would have noticed my error in deduction that it was actually your ability to send that was being demonstrated.

I've done this before and got all the cards right about 6 hits in a row, just until my partner informed me I was getting them all right, when he told me that I started missing them. Alan, if you're an evil wizard, what am I?  Smiley

why do you suppose this is? do u think I became afraid of success?

Hello again forum

I include the results from this forum as well as from another forum who did the same experiment with me at the same time

RESULTS FROM THE OTHER FORUM:..................................?

Mjm drew: Drew the exact shape a circle inside a triangle 100% hit

Stillwater drew: A circle with an animal inside. 50% hit
(Stillwater said it was not telepathy and this is true)

007 Drew: the exact shape and was amazes100% hit

RemoteTouch drew: a circle within a circle a 50%hit

Vitruvian: was very interested but did not indicate what he drew?

   OUR FINAL SUMMARY OF RESULTS:.................................?

Experiment was    "try to draw an object inside another object making certain you have circumventing logic and drawn exactly what first popped into your mind"

"I THINK I WALKED THE WALK NOT JUST TALKED TO TALK MAN!!! I PUT MYSELF FAR OUT ON A LINE DON’T YOU THINK"???

CIRCLE WITH TRIANGLE INSIDE OR CIRCLE OR A SQUARE OR BOX INSIDE CIRCLE OR REVERSE

BETS: DREW  A CHICKEN AND CHICK INSIDE  50%HIT

VARGA DREW:   BOX WITH A CIRCLE INSIDE (PICKED UP TRIANGLE BUT RATIONALIZED THIS AWAY)  100% HIT

SHSS DREW: A CIRCLE WITH A TRIANGLE INSIDE 100  EXACT HIT

LUCY DREW: A POLYGON SHOWING SHE IS AN "OUT OF THE BOX THINKER"  (A POLYGON IS ANY ODD SHAPE)

ALYSIA DREW: A BOX WITH A CIRCLE INSIDE 100% HIT (ONLY YOUR FIRST DRAWING COUNTED)

LIGHT OF LOVE DREW: A CIRCLE WITH A TRIANGLE INSIDE 100% EXACT HIT

JUDITHA DREW: A CIRCLE WITH A TRIANGLE INSIDE 100%EXACT HIT

CRICKET DREW: A BALLOON INSIDE A FLOWER?? 50% HHIT

SPOOKY DREW: AN OLD TELEPHONE (A SQUARE WITH A ROUND DIAL WHICH IS A CIRCLE) A 100% HIT

MAYBE WE CAN TRY A SIMILAR TEST OFF TOPIC SOMETIME

THIS WICKED WIZARD MADE YOU DRAW:

(1) EITHER A CIRCLE WITH A TRIANGLE INSIDE OR THE REVERSE OR....................?
(2) EITHER A CIRCLE WTH A SQAURE OR BOX INSIDE...........................?

BEWARE MORTALS I AM ABOUT TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD

I, for one, cannot read your new font even with my glasses on and fullscreen. So if you wish to continue lecturing, you will need to change it to something I can read (especially the "all caps" parts).
