Am I three years too late to warn her? Maybe some recent healing/clearing of my own released a message meant for three years ago?
One possibility I see really has nothing to do warning anybody, rather it is about your own intent and developing trust in your dream information and understanding more about the nature of this kind of information. It appears that you were intent on discovering something about the nature and validity of your phone call dreams. It appears that your intent was fulfilled. Someone, an old friend, the person in the dream, was indeed in that specific hospital. So the information was validated.
It also appears that you were expecting the validated information to fit certain expectations about what this kind of information would be, how it could be used, etc. But look at what you got. It appears that you received information previously unknown to you (like the hospital name and the old friend involved) that you have no other way of knowing except by what science might describe as extraordinary means. In other words, you got both strong evidence that your dream information can be accurate and verified, and perhaps the beginnings of a lesson in the nature of such information.
I love the TV series Medium. One of the things I really like is that the main character receives information in her dreams and then the episode revolves around the process she goes through trying to understand what the information means and how to use it. In my view this is a very, very realistic portrayal of the process. She often discovers that this kind of information comes in a series of dreams and each pieces helps her understand more about the "Big Picture" the dreams are pointing to.
If I were to offer any advice it would be to be aware that this first dream may be a piece of a mosaic that describes a bigger picture. As with the Medium character, you have verified that the first dream contained accurate information. Be expecting that more will come, another piece of the mosaic. When it does I would suggest you follow through as you did with the first dream and get as much understanding of the next dream, and verification as you can. Let the next information help you see and understand more about what the previous dream was telling you. Expect that there may be more to it than what your expectations lead you to look for.
As an aside I would also suggest that there may be some specific reason that you received this phone call dream, having to do with the person that dream reconnected you with. You might consider maintaining some form of contact with this old friend. You might consider that the information in this first dream was in some way symbolic. If you expand your perspective on the information, i.e. old friend, in the hospital, as the result of a heart attack, that disabled this old friend - what else or who else might the dream be pointing at?
Congrats on trusting yourself enough to follow through to get verification. It is through verification, acceptance that the experience was real that perception is further opened. You have taken a BIG STEP!
