There was a great comedian called Flip Wilson. He was a black man who loved to dress up in drag and call himself "Geraldine" and strut his stuff. He would talk to his audience about his boyfriend, Killer. He was a little sassy. He would parade around, blowing on his long, painted nails, proudly talking about Killer.

This was his favorite line: The DEVIL made me do it.

He'd tell a long story about some drivel....and then, the punchline:
