What if there were no sex
Dec 2nd, 2007 at 2:24pm

What kind of world would it be if there were sex?Sex is very powerful, and I think very spiritual. Why do we have sex in our lives?I think its a part of God plan, but we sometimes misuse it.It was ment to produse ofspring for our happeness and lovein our lives.I often woundered what kind of world would we have without it.sex is the driving forse of having children, but we dont think of having children while having sex.we dont think of sex when we were kids, because are feelings of sex were not there, but we had fun with with out it.maybe when we pass on,our feelings will be different than they are here.this is only my opinion.maybe the rest of us here might think otherwise.

Maybe we get a choice. Ethereal sex with ethereal bodies, or we can listen to harp music, and play Mah Jong forever. It's an interesting question, you present, George. Some embodied souls don't appear to care for it. Maybe it brings a few people only trouble, since it can become an addiction, with no emotional bonding.  And then other people find a way to elevate it to high spiritual levels, and create emotional and physical balance.

Hi George-

My first thought is that without sex there wouldn't be enough people to have this forum.

As a second thought, I had a patient who recalled being an amoeba in a past life. Maybe we'd all be talking about the erotic effects of salt water on cellular division. That would go along with pornographic movies depicting large blobs of gelatininous substances - And doubtless Jello would be restricted only to adults. For that matter, I wonder if there'd be a distinction between fruit Jello and regular - or would it be "don't ask, don't tell"?

Hi I  sometimes wish i had stayed a virgin,as sex got me where i am now, fileing for a divorce, the only good thing i got out of it is my children
I would rather have a curry and rice once a week,so if sex does not exist in the spirit world,i for one will not complain.

jello sex..hehehehe Smiley curry rice experienced in taste bud chakra, say confuscious, while sex experienced in different chakra continue Confucious.
man not live by jello consumption alone... Cheesy

Juditha sex without love is like a meal with no salt, very bland indeed.

George: in the bible, if u are inclined to ponder that antique, it says man and woman are as one and not to put them asunder.
I haven't looked up the word asunder yet, but I think it means don't put these that are one, as under. or under, like don't put them down when they join.

meaning, no sense passing around judgment on them.

another ponderous thought approaches..ha...what if in spiritland, there were all these blokes and they were One, both male and female were they but each had male and female traits, like dave's wonderful omoeba item.

sooooooo..then they were floating by Earth station one day, as there didn't seem to be much else to do...and they all conspired to become physical, split themselves into halves, so to speak, in order to experience life on physical dimension.

so now George, you have enlightenment exactly why your wife is your "better" half.
or, maybe, u r the better half! or maybe...hmmm. another profound thought! maybe you two take turns and there be no competition, but love makes whole.

LOL Alysia. I think Plato beat you to it with your story - great minds think alike? Cheesy I seem to remember he told a story about how all beings were both male and female to start with and then they split up, and the sex urge is the lonely halves wanting to get back together again with their missing bit. I think he had an explanation for gay men and lesbians too. I think their originals kind of had a double dose or male or female! Something like that.

PS "assunder" just means "apart" -- ie. when man and wife are married no one should try to split them up, by trying to seduce one of them etc

Personally i think life would be simpler without sex. I was very happy as a child without it, and think humans could still express physical love and affection without it

I fully agree, sex without love is bland indeed, Alysia. Cold blooded f*ing. Love without sex can be made to work quite well, though, especially if it has a spiritual basis.

I tend to be a bit flip with people's sexuality, because we change sex about as much as we change clothing. If anyone is offended, please forgive me.

In regressions I always discover some lives male, others female, and a few others in between. While the specific traits that cause homosexuality are still unknown, all mammals seem to have "aunts" and "uncles" who assist in the rearing of the young, but do not themselves bear of beget infants. There's nothing really unusual except for our social issues. The causes are more complex than simply having more testerosterone or estrogen, or more X or Y chromosomes, and involve brain structure and other things. I've been toying with the idea that sexual changes may occur over a period of more than one lifetime, which would be a reason to be partially one sex and partially favor the other. This is something that should be available from regression data, but the homophobic bias of our society seems to make this difficult to discover.

As for currying sexual flavors, I see no reason to feel that a little garam masala poured over the appropriate parts would be a problem. Of course what we view as "good taste" is an issue - Wink

Smiley You guys and your curry!

It brings the 1972 movie 'The Adventures of Barrie McKenzie' to mind - it was maybe a predecessor of Crocodile Dundee, but made him appear refined: http://dvd.ciao.co.uk/The_Adventures_Of_Barry_McKenzie_DVD__5910894

Barrie was a rough Oz outback type travelling in Europe who liked beer, curry and Sheilas. The scene that stuck in the teenage minds of myself and a group of friends who saw it in Dublin at the time was where when demanded by this Kama Sutra waving sophisticated European lady that he get into bed and love her Eastern style.......

........ he downed his beer, flung what was left of his take away curry down the front of his Y-fronts and did so.

It seemed awfully daring and humorous at the time

daring yes Ian, too bad TV is not reality, we wouldn't be so constipated about talking this subject. although we don't do so badly on this thread.

Oliver, thanks for definition of asunder, sounds way more logical than mine, and I knew I could count on you as I think you've read much stuff.
according to my spell check Oliver, one S in asunder is sufficiently correct. and if you put two S's like u did, it means ass under.
ah....... Grin

somebody else here mentioned I had Plato leanings Oliver. I wonder if Dave will regress me, so I can find out for sure, I was probably his housekeeper.

the fact is I already have enough lives to deal with. it gets confusing after the 3rd one. Smiley

the funny thing is we would all cease to argue the world over, if we knew everything we've ever thought up, somebody else thought it up first..every feeling of any depth, somebody else already felt that depth, everything thats gonna be said, its already been said. so now we can go out on the town and eat some curry!

so that doesn't keep me quiet now does it?  Cheesy gotta dance!

Hi aylsia, dave, vajra and blink My favorite is chicken curry rice and beansprouts, goes down a treat,i remember in my last year at school,my teacher told me to always keep both legs in one stocking, only wish i had listened, should have stayed on the curry, did not know curry is used for other things, hmm curry and sex,it would really spice things up a bit i suppose, but then sex is highly overated, dont take any notice of me,i'm just rambling on,i'm on a downer at the moment  Roll Eyes and i'm feeling slightly anti-man.

Love and God bless  Love juditha

yes you'll be all right Juditha, time has a way of healing wounds dearie, trust me on this one. its important not to blame yourself because you'll figure it out later, what went wrong and why, then all the hurt goes away.

(I'll try to keep in mind this is an afterlife topic board, watch me bring the subject to that, hehehe. wait. I can!)

so as I was saying Juditha, girlfriend in England, guess what happened to me once?
I took a guy into my home, I fed him curry burritos, yes, strange, I know, but thats all I knew to cook. then one day he said alysia, you are playing house. then he grins like ha! I found out your game.
I was crushed. we broke up of course but the reasons for our non compatibility issues I would not find out for years..so thats why I say be patient and the answers will wipe your tears away.

so, later, I wrote a silly song called honey, want a burrito?

only I meant a real burrito, lol. I didn't put both legs in a stocking either lovey.

now whats all this got to do with the afterlife?  I think it's because we gave our love away, and that even the sad relationships are important to go thru because we did try, now didn't we give it our best shot? they always ask on the other side how well did you love?

love to you! alysia

Wow, Juditha, I went to my nearby corner grocery yesterday and found crumpets in the cold case.

I bought some and took them home and so had crumpets for the FIRST time last night! O  M  G  !!!!!!!!!

They were wonderful, even better than the Dr. McDreamy show (House fan here) I was anticipating.

It was some kind of genius who figured this one out, with the butter dripping through....

I could just go on for hours and hours, but I won't.

hee hee, love, blink Smiley

Hi aylsia I am going through a lot of emotions at the moment and i realise what you say is right that time heals wounds and thats what i will do now ,give my self time to get myself together and let the wounds heal.I remember this boyfriend ,i had when i was a girl,i could not cook at all as my mother would not allow me in the kitchen,so when i cooked him liver and onions,he could not e ven cut it,it was that hard, the fork bent,we finished a week later, never new really whether it was me or the liver.

Hi vajra   Im glad i made you laugh and i'm glad i kept my humor as laughter lifts the soul.

Love and God bless you blink aylsia and vajra    love juditha
