The phone ringing has stoped
Mar 14th, 2007 at 3:34pm

While having dinner yesterday,I said who ever has been calling me,by making a phone ring in my head, tell me what you want.I then walked acrose the floor and was stoped in my tracks.A voice spoke,a voice that I have heard for over 50 years. It was my wife. She said George, dont forget Sandi.Sandi is our daughter, who is married now,and liveing out west at this time. She was all mom,and no dad.she never did like me,for reasons I do not know. After my wife died she never came to visit me.I phoned her many times, but got no reply. Then she and her husband moved out west, without leaving a forword address. My heart was broken. That was over 2 years ago.I am in the prosess of selling my home, and was thinking of takeing her out of my will.I then began getting these phone call every night, but the calls were in my head. They were not my phones ringing. It was getting to me.I will houner my wifes wishes now and keep my daughter in my will. What do you all think?George

Wow, George. That's quite interesting. If you feel it is right to honor your wife's wishes then you should do so. I think it is okay to honor your own wishes too.  Whichever feels right to you.

However, I suspect that your wife is right. These kinds of separations between family members, like between you and your daughter, are very common. It hurts. Sometimes things just can't be repaired, even when we wish they could.

But, you never know what lies in the future. It could be that your wife knows that your daughter will have some kind of need in the future which is unapparent now, and that she knows what is best in this situation.

I'm really impressed with your patience and willingness to wait for your answer!!!!

I'm very happy for you,
Dear George,

that you finally have an answer !
We don't know, do we, why some people like us and some don't, even our own relatives. It's a puzzlement.
Since it was your wife who asked you to do this, and not your daughter who 'called,'  it makes the situation difficult, doesn't it?  Maybe she stayed in touch with your daughter and knows some circumstances that you don't.   --?--
I think you'll do the right thing, George.

Love, Bets

Hi George-

Glad that you finally got through to complete the connection. The number of tries to complete the connecton is interesting. Maybe your wife was uncertain about your number in the psychic phone book?

Often our youngsters go off on their own tangent and take a while to understand that actually there were two parents involved, and that what was sensed as unreasonable treatment turns out to be pretty good parenting. Then a while later they often discover that things weren't as they seemed while growng up because with a little maturity comes a little more insight and wisdom. The fortunate ones get to make peace while the old folks are still around - and the others get to wish they had done so when they had a chance.

It's good that you are still open to her. The unspoken half of the story about the Prodigal Son is the loving patience of the Father.
