Hi folks

Some input would be helpful. From reading all this fascinating stuff, I noticed something unpleasant happening within me. Fear. I mean.......I'd always thought or believed that death was a pleasant release from sufferings. But after reading all this stuff about lost souls, trapped souls, rescues, retrievals, suicide planes and such........wow.........it really sounds like a jungle in there. For the moment, I hope I live physically forever, because suddenly dying has become a frightening prospect. I mean, one of those lost souls could be me. Or you. Am I missing something?

I think alot of it has to do with the mindset you have before you die.

A suicide is going to have numerous problems and will need to be helped by higher spirits, mostly because of the fact that he or she killed themselves to get the kind of release you are talking about (end of suffering).

If someone dies a severe atheist like I myself once was, they might not believe they are dead!!!

I hate to quote movies but think six sense.

Spiritualism is the acceptance of empirically elicited evidence that the human consciousness survives physical death and that those who survive can communicate with those who are physically on earth in a number of ways.

Fearful:

The fact of how you're mindful about things gives you a head start.

Be a good person, live according to love, don't start believing things just because other people say they are true, look for the light when you die, and you'll be okay.

Also, it isn't like everybody gets stuck. Just some people. A lot of people cross over with no problem. If you get stuck somebody will come along and help you if you allow them to help you. It's up to you.  Keep things simple.

Hi Asethaa,
I'm with Recoverer, that you think about these things is the best insurance to prevent you from being stuck. The important thing is, I guess, not so much if one has the "right" belief, but to be open for possibilities as well as the own healthy thinking like "Wait...what I'm doing here? This is not what I really want. I want to go elsewhere where it's nice..."
That way.

You know there are people who don't ask questions. All has become routine for them. Nothing to change. All is as it is, has been and ever be. That's the type of people I'm a bit concerned about.

And pleasant release of sufferings, I'm sure there's enough of it. Just think, what you now suffer from, it isn't there beyond the physical (as long as you don't want it to be there).

Hi Chuck,

If you feel fear, just remember love. Think about the things that bring warmth to your heart. There is no power anywhere that can defeat love.

That's all that's necessary. And remember, you're never alone...there is always a friend nearby...in this world as well as all others.  If you can't see your friend, just keep on asking.  A friend will always arrive for you.
