HI,
I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else. I have had a few experiences when in a sleep-wake-state, where I get his buzzing noise very loud over my head and sometimes I have let go, and had a quck oobe. Sometimes it has frightened me to where I can't let go and open my eyes to stop it, or get up out of bed.
Yesterday I had an MRI, my first one, and while each image they did, the sound got louder and louder, and the buzzing over my head from the MRI, I felt as if I did before in my sleep-wake-state, that I was going to have the oobe again. So, I had to stop it from happening, so I would open my eyes and try not to let it happen. I would have like to see what would have happened, but I had to stay still, I couldn't move anything, and was afraid that If I let it happen.. then they would have had to do the MRI all over again. So, I guess my question is.. has this happened to anyone, hearing the sound and feeling the vibration from the MRI. I understand that the hemi-sync  (tones?)makes it so that you are able more easily to achieve the obe(which I have never done or heard) I just found it to be quite interesting that the MRI could put me in that 'zone' too.

I think it was caused by the mri because of the noise and vibration, it happened about 4 times during it. I was wide awake, not in my usual sleep-state when it happened previously. So, I felt that the noise and vibration maybe got to a certain frequency for me that may have caused it. I don’t really know. I wasn’t nervous or excited at all either. I was very relaxed as I had taken a benedryl before having it. I felt that I couldn’t let it happen because I was not suppose to move any part of my body. I didn’t know what would happen if I had let it go and went oob, my thoughts were that possibly I would move my arms or legs or something and that would screw up the mri and they would have to re-do it.

Hi Aras-
The vibration and buzing are associated with changes in kundalini energy. Many people who write about OOB experiences have complianed about them. When it happened to me it scared the heck out of me - but it's a normal thing if you are inclined to exteriorization.

I have no idea whether benedryl has any effect in causing the buzzing and vibration, it's essentially an antihistamine. I don't like what it does to me, so I'm not going to experiment either The MRI equipment has nothing at all to do with the inner states except to recall them to you. In my own case, I thought the sound was somebody coming through the house on a motorcycle. Then I stopped being sensitive to it.

I used to experience the buzzing years ago when I was having spontaneous OBE's.  Nothing to worry about. At least you have this board. I knew what it was for obvious reasons but I felt like I was being pulled out by someone/something so I fought it.
