Our 5+ Senses & What They Mean...
Jul 6th, 2006 at 8:03pm

I was wondering if anyone knows how the 5+ sense that we experience in our physical reality got chosen upon? For instance, how was it decided upon that physical creatures would have eyeballs to see; ears to hear; fingers/toes to feel; a tongue to taste; a nose to smell? Are these 5+ senses the most essential important senses needed for us to gain growth in a spiritual sense? Or were they just haphazardly tossed into our mix for evolutionary sake?

Curious probing,

I don't have the right answer or I probably wouldn't be here! lol! chuckles responding! I wondered the same thing though. maybe because its a duality world, we have 2 eyes instead of being like cyclops..2 legs, 2 arms, 2 ears, hmm, even 2 nostrils! the legs are for balance in walking..its really hard to walk with one leg..but we've done it. what if we only had one sex..we could just lay eggs and be done with it. its a thought. I did read of a  mythological story how spirit landed here and started reproducing within the animal kingdom and they didn't stick to their own kind and well, darn, things got really funny looking after awhile so the end of the world occurred; we needed to draw up different plans, get more organized I suppose.

LOL, Chuckles,
you make sense  Wink in the strangest ways!
My thoughts were more pedestrian. I thought it had to do with matter being so solid down here. You don't want to run into it,  you want to know if it's good to eat, etc.
Or less on the practical,  if Love is the answer, then we're here to love, so you want to experience what you love as fully as possible, whether it's a flower, a pearl, or a person. Senses are probes to help us know about this material world directly.
When we incarnate on other centers we'll not need 5, I suppose. If surrounded by gases, we'll be an adaptation of just a nose, maybe like a jet  Cheesy , gas in, gas out. If only fluids, we'll have to add one sense, a strainer/gills, to sense the thickness and contents of the fluid. --- Does anyone know a comic book publisher where I could apply?
