How wonderful, Bob! My father passed away in a slow and heartbreaking way this past March. I had one lucid dream about him within a week or so after he died, but it was brief, and not very satisfying. He had been bedridden and somewhat demented before he passed on. A week or so later, I dreamed that I encountered him on his couch at the family home. He was more his old self, but still frail and weak. I looked around my old family home, saw him on the couch and said "this is impossible. You are dead!" And he said to me "no, I am still here (in a calm voice). " I ran to get my family members in the room next door, and when we returned, the couch was empty. As I related the story to them, in my lucid dream, I had absolute conviction that this was a verified communication. But too brief, and not quite what I wanted. Over the next week, I saw flashes of his countenance during the day; he was younger, similar to a picture of him as a young man (I recaled an old picture when he was on a beach in Coney Island and seemed so vibrant and strong). I do not think that it was my normal consciousness recalling these images. He was smiling in my daytime visions, which again, I do not think I put in there deliberately.
May I ask how long ago it was that your dad passed on? I have heard rumors that communication beyond a certain amount of time is very unusual, but I don't really believe that myself. If time as we know it does not exist in the afterlife, then I don't know why one would be limited to comunnication with the deceased to only a year or so after their demise. The theory, as it goes is that they move on to other cosmic adventures and/or reincarnation, and that communication and there need to contact us here in C1 dwindles. I don't buy that.
Thank you, Bob for this description of an amazing journey. You truly have a gift; the ability to make contact and explore, and then bring it back to the rest of us. Thanks again.
