Dream Origins

I have had several fairly memorable dreams which
seem a response to sensory input of various types.

Once I dreamed I was an eagle perched high in a
fir tree.  The most spectacular aspect of my eagle
self was my incredibly keen vision.  It seemed I
could see a great distance with with phenominal
acuity.  When I later recalled this dream I realized
the immense natural beauty my eagle self had
seen without an awareness of beauty.

The impression I retain of the eagle self is of its astoundingly mindless purity.

I believe I probably had this dream because I
really love the world of nature plus, at one time,
my parents owned property with an active eagle
nest.

I have had other extremely beautiful responsive
dreams, but this is enough to make my point.

Greetings vikingsgal,
I've read your eagle dream a couple of times and cannot get it out of my mind.
Are you suggesting that the eagle has attained a sublime peace, in which it no longer must consider and fret over the mundane "that tree looks strong enough to perch on,' "that ripple may be a fish or it may not," etc?
Did you sense sublimity,--- or a vacuousness?
Was what you sensed your own mind's quality while you transformed into an eagle, as would a shaman, or was it the eagle's mental quality?
Thank you for sharing that even though it's rather confounding.
