Bravi,
I believe that we all have the ability to get information from the nonphysical or from extra sensory perception. For instance, normally all we do all day long is pay attention to the physical world through our physical senses. We tend to discount anything that isn't proven to us through these senses. Then another thing on top of that is that we get bombarded with incoming information from the physical world, and this even further distracts our attention. But that is life.
If you can find time, as Spooky said, to relax your mind and your thoughts and learn to not be distracted, then you can begin to sense other states of consciousness. You even have to be aware of when you are letting your mind wander. Try to focus on your conscious awareness. Some people try to concentrate on going out of body, and others call it going within. What you are doing, though, is focusing your awareness away from the physical and concentrating on perceiving information of/from nonphysical dimensions.
For during your normal day to day business, you can still train yourself to be tuning in and paying attention to other avenues of perception. For instance, coincidences are not really coincidences at all, but we usually don't pay enough attention to these types of things and therefore we don't realize how guidance works in our lives.
Here's an example of mine: One day at work I was remembering and reminiscing about the Dick And Jane books I grew up with as a child. I missed those books. (I still have my original copies of them, which are tattered and worn). It made me wonder if those books were still in print somewhere and how it would be a shame if my generation was the last to enjoy them.
The next day I was nicely surprised that my husband had the evening off night school, so we took the kids to dinner and then decided to stop at Media Play ( a music and book store) to browse just for fun. My son and I were wandering off from my husband and daughter, and we were just kind of kidding around and not really paying attention to where we were going, as we usually get lost in our conversation or laughing together. Anyway, I noticed that I had to tie my shoe but my son kept walking. I kept walking to catch up with him, but finally I just stopped where I was and knelt down to tie my shoe. I tied it and while I was still knelt down, I looked up at the shelf in front of me, the bottom shelf of the case I was next to. And there on the shelf were the Dick and Jane books from my childhood, except that these had a brand new shiny cover. I couldn't believe it! I opened up one of the books and every page and illustration was exactly like my childhood books, nothing had changed but the cover. And that answered my question as to whether these books were still in print and whether a new generation could grow up enjoying these simple innocent stories. You may think that I would have run into those books whether I had thought of them prior or not. But would I have? Maybe not. I merely had genuine curiosity about something, and then I got a direct answer to my question in an indirect way. We call this coincidence but it really isn't random. There is purpose in the way these kinds of things happen. That is one example of what I meant by paying attention. This kind of thing happens a lot and all we need to do is start recognizing our thoughts and the things that take place in our lives.
Well I've kind of rambled on a lot, but I hope you get the picture of what I am trying to say here. Love, Vicky
