Afterlife question
Feb 7th, 2006 at 5:38am

Hey I'm new here and I have a few questions.
Every since Eddie Guerrero, one of my favourite wrestlers passed away in November, I've been thinking A LOT about death and the afterlife. So much that its gotten to the point where its all I think about and I'm stressing heavily over it.
I believe in God, I believe there is an afterlife but I was wondering...

1) When you die, are you with your family again or are you by yourself? I've read that if you want to see them, all you do is think of them and they appear. Can't you just all be together all of the time and never be alone?

2) If your parents have somewhat different beliefs than you, do they go to a seperate place and if so, can you ever see them?

3) If you get stuck and can't quite crossover, does a family member or friend help guide you or do you have to figure out for yourself?

The reason why I'm so...paranoid I guess you could say, is because I'm extremely close with my family, moreso my parents. The thought of not being with them much in the afterlife just gets to me.

I could probably think of more but I think that'll do for now. Thanks guys!

Hi PunkRockPrincess. I too watch WWE and it's one of my favorite TV shows. I watched Raw tonight (Feb, 7, 2006) and it was pretty great. I was saddend to hear of Eddie passing months ago, but I know that God wanted for him to go back to the spirit world on that day.

1. Now, to answer your questions, are we with our friends and family in the afterlife/other side. The answer is yes. I've astral traveled (otherwise called spirit travel), and you can see each other in so doing in the spirit world/astral world. Our subconscious minds are in contact with each other in the astral world. Yes you can be with your friends and family, but I hear there are many different spirits, astral beings, celestial beings, and beautiful dimensions to explore in the afterlife/other side.

2. Rather your parents' believe differently or not is irrelevent. We all go to the astral plane every night when we dream, the only difference with astral travel is we are aware of the fact we're in another dimension.

3. Typically, a white light might help you cross over to the spirit world/astral world. No matter what you'll always find the spirit world/astral world somehow, because when in the astral body you see other starry astral beings.

I understand your concerns. However, realize that although Eddie is no longer in his physical body, his spirit is now at peace in the spirit world/astral world. I too wonder sometimes what Eddie is doing right now there, but there's no need to worry about it. He's perfectly safe and with God. I can picture him now in the highest starry astral plane, probably with the angels.

As for thinking of things in the afterlife/other side and they appear, this is true. The subconscious mind has vastly greater powers of visualization then the conscious mind.

I hope that helps understand the afterlife/other side better. I too miss Eddie, but than again God wanted him back home to the spirit world. Thanks.

I hope that helps. Smiley Wink

thanks for the responses guys. everytime i read someones experience i always get reassured, but half hour later I'm doubting again.

umm i have just one more question though. i was reading that in heaven you dont actually use your mouth to communicate, and you talk through your mind. is there any truth to this? what made people think that? thanks

This is true for any nonphysical reality because communication is done through energy which moves very fast.  I've experienced this in classic OBE's and also in dreams (the kind of dreams which are more than mere dreams).   But since you are talking about "heaven", that makes me think that if your beliefs are such that after you die you expect to talk with your mouth just as if you were alive, then I suppose that is how you would experience talking.
Undecided

But it isn't necessary.

Love, Vicky

interesting.
do you need to be really religious in order to go where you want to go? A friend of mine is a Christian and she told me a while ago that I need to join a church, go every Sunday, read the bible and pray in order to go to heaven.

I am not a religious person, and so someone else's idea of "heaven" is not where I would want to be.  But you really don't have to worry about where you will end up because all you have to worry about is the now and the rest will take care of itself.

Look at it this way...you can't change the past,  and you can't do anything about the future, but what you can do is be active in the "now".  The present moment is the only moment where we have power to create something.  And by doing so, you will be essentially shaping what your future turns out to be, does that make sense?  So if you think about the afterlife as your future, then how you life your life now and who you are now will shape what you experience in the afterlife.  Just like your Christian friend was explaining, if you lead a certain religious life expecting to go to heaven then that is what you  will experience.  Have you read Bruce's article on Max's Hell?  That is a good and extreme example of how we create our own reality in the afterlife.  I guess what I'm saying is, I don't think anyone should be too surprised at what they find once they die.  If anything, it may be an eye-opener for some, but it shouldn't be anything that you didn't have coming to you.  But me personally, I see it two ways:  I believe it is necessary to experience whatever I have coming to me in order for my own spiritual growth to occur.  That makes sense to me.  But on the other hand, I look at it as thinking, how can I skip over, and thus rise above, certain experiences in order to achieve a higher realm of spiritual evolvement?  Basically, I know I will get to where I need to be eventually, but how can I get there faster?

Good points, Vicky.

Just another thought.  I believe it is difficult to "get stuck," if you pass on if you know that there is something wonderful out there, and that you can ask for help.  People who believe in nothing find nothing.  People who believe there is love out there are bound to find it.
