OBE at work...
Dec 15th, 2005 at 11:48am

Don't worry not while I was working! lol

It was breakfast and i had my sandwich and felt really tired so kinda rested my head on my crossed arms on the table and kinda drifted off! lol

Anyway next thing i knew I was round my dads sitting on the couch, the lights were dimmed a bit and we were watching TV, me, my dad and my sister. It was christmas so don't know if i kinda saw into the future, can you do this with OBE? *must remember sitting positions to see if comes true lol*

I don't know why I went OBE, i didn't think wow i should be at work, just was like ok I'm at my dads and were watching TV so that was weird...another real cool thing i had coming out of the OBE which never really had so real before was at my dads theres a coffee table and i normally rest my feet on it, at work my feet where going straight to the floor but when i come round back here to the physical...my eyes were still closed and i didn't move i just came back into awareness here my legs were still there. So i'm laying head rested on my arms on the table and my legs going to floor but i couldn't feel my physically legs, i just felt them resting on the coffee table even tho i had come "back". That was a weird feeling so i sat there for a minute enjoying it and trying to understand i guess then lifted my head up and I was back.

Just wondering...can we see into the future with OBEs?

And also is there any reason why we come half back sometimes? It was pretty neat though!

Thanx for listening

Hey Ryan,

Congrats.  I come to this site after being a moderator and avid OBE'er over at Robert Bruce's website.

Anyway, it sounds to me like you were experiencing some dual awareness, which is why you were aware of your position lying on the table, but also of your nonphysical feet still resting on the coffee table.

This usually happens when transitioning back from one reality into another.

As far as seeing the future, I can only speak from experience and I've never been able to do it.  That doesn't mean it isn't possible or anything.  I do know though that when OBE, you can see and interact with people who aren't physically there at that moment of your projection.  For example, talking to your dad at home when you know that he isn't at home, and neither are you, etc.

HI Ryan-

Seeing the future is a very imprecise business because of the "feed forward effect".  The very act of looking at the future causes you to view and respond to the world differently, so it creates a different future than the one you just saw. However, if a very large number of observations were to be made, it is likely that some kind of core events might be validly seen.

For example, a playwright might visualize himself flying to London next year in order to attend a performance of his work at the Albert Hall. This might prompt greater effort at his work, interactions with backers and promoters,  and a general effort to bring to pass the vision. However, that might also lead to the promoters looking at more favorable offerings in place of the one the playwright proposed, thus effectively reducing his chances of playng there. Dozens of other options doubless might occur. However, the existence of the Albert Hall would probably remain a stable datum in spite of being viewed.

___

yes we can. I've seen from one day up to an 18 month future setting. but only personal, not mass events and then, the events were not highly detailed yet the numbers when given are pretty much right on..but these are sometimes seen as probabilities is my thesis. another example is Vicky's spotting of the mouse in the grass a few hours before seeing it in the physical. I think the astral world is a duplicate of the physical. good for you Ryan, I think it's great fun! trust yourself!

Thank you Alysia!  I was just catching up on reading the threads and saw this one.

Hi Ryan, I agree that you had dual awareness, just like I had in my Mouse OBE that Alysia mentioned above.  In that one I could feel my awareness equally lying in bed AND floating outside onto the grass.  And yes, that OBE of mine did show me information from about 12 hours into the future.

I have come to realize that no matter what "kind" of OBE you have, there is usually something that needs interpreting.  I don't take anything literally in how it is perceived visually by me.  All I know is, the information coming in is what is to be taken as reality, not how you see it during the experience.

So what you saw in the OBE, i.e. your surroundings, the furniture, and where everyone sits may not necessarily be what you experience in the future (if this is an event to take place in the future).  You may want to focus on what you felt, what feelings you felt coming from the other people, what was said, and what you had a "knowing awareness" of.

I'm just saying to remember to not get caught up in the visual aspects.  I find that the inner knowing aspects are more important--when you feel something in your gut, something you just know.

Our interpretation of information coming into our awareness tends to get distorted more easy when we visualize it.  This is just my belief from my own experience.  It may not apply to everyone.
