I want to have opinions on something.  I hope I can explain it well enough.  I've been working on this one for a while, it happened 2 years ago.

This is about feeling someone's energy, not just on an ESP level, but really feeling that person.  One experience in particular is the most profound experience I have ever had.  I have not yet found a way to put it into words and still give it justice.  To summarize it briefly, I was able to feel someone's energy, their aura, and knew instinctively who it was by name.  It was as if I knew this person to the point of knowing what it was like to be them.  The thing is, I had never met the person before, but knew that I was going to be meeting them later on that day.  It's not that this feeling gave me knowledge about them as a person, but it gave me knowledge of them on a spiritual level.  What I mean is, I had the feeling of having known him forever, but my only sensory input was his aura.  It wasn't even visual, it was just a physical feeling.  At the moment I felt this person's energy, it felt as if the air around me had gotten very thick, as if I was trying to walk through a swimming pool.  And the only way I can think to describe it is that that person's entire essence enveloped me and combined with mine, and for those moments I felt as if we were "made of the same thing", like one person.  I don't know how else to say it. 

I know my description sounds vague, but I want to know if anyone knows what I am talking about.  Have you had something similar?  Do you know how and why I had this experience?  Would you say that the person I felt was perhaps projecting their aura out to me (perhaps because we have known each other in a previous life?)  Or do you think my spirit recognized this person being nearby and wanted to make it known to me?  Or do we have guides or guidance working these kinds of experiences for us?

I will appreciate any answers.  I'm just trying to broaden my ideas on this experience for my book.  There's more to the story, but I am still trying to figure out this particular part of it.  (I can't bring it out in the open yet until I have figured it out in my own mind first). 

When we finally did meet later that day I felt like I had always known him, and then we hugged and I felt a strong surge in my chest, like a pulling outward from my chest.  It's shocking and almost scary for a second but a very good feeling as well.  He looked as though he had felt the same thing! 

If I could make this experience happen again I would in a heartbeat.  If I could do it with anyone, I would.  I wish everyone could know what that felt like.

  btw--it sounds a bit like the merging that Bruce describes in some of his books?  though he was more concentrating in the nonphysical dimensions of self, but i'm sure you can do this in a more waking state.

  Sometimes when my Fiance and i share love physically, it reaches this All encompassing state which goes way beyond just normal u know what, but rather a blending or a merging...which is kind of like what Tim and Ryan were talking about when they really get deep into the music they're playing...

  Its an awesome feeling, and one to be cherished, but i think it doesn't happen that often with just an individual for a reason....mostly because we are here to transcend personal love and relationships, and concentration on these can become a block on fully realizing that ultimate Jesus like purely PUL filled Love for all?

this is cool Vicky; I know your book is going to be so good as you want to gain even more understanding to share with us..that's how I approached writing too and it really opens the way for more understanding of how these experiences occur. I want to make sure we keep in touch as I want to read your book. I know the feeling of words to be so insufficient and I remember here we were discussing that same issue, that we need a new language. Kyo kindly directed me to a spot where a new language is being formed! I've yet to get myself over there and benefit from that undertaking.

but just to share a similar thing that happened recently..your physical feelings of being underwater and merging with this person, it's different than my experience and could be that this other is very very close to your vibrational level of being, so that the merge would be explained that way..so in that way you support each other through the heart area, as it's always joyful and uplifting, these experiences which are beyond physical, yet still involve our physical natures. I don't much think about past lives anymore, but I could say he may be a disc member, or in the sense that souls incarnate to be together, but actually in a way, they have never not been together, but only to appearance of separation for a reason. the trouble with our language is its set up in terms of linear time, so it's back to the language problem of being limited with the word, and the connections we make individually to the word.

now, my personal sharing somewhat similar adventure: I can pick up energy signatures; usually it appears as an ordinary dream movie with corresponding feelings that I will feel the next day, that I encounter this person. recently I have  signed a purchase agreement on a piece of property. I've been working at it since Feb and can finally heave a sigh of relief that it's done.
back in August..guides informed me "the house is sold." but it didn't actually happen until this month. (I'm always asking the universe why I can't have instant satisfaction and I always get some smart answer because I live within linear time and need to work with the highest good..whatever!

I'm a little stubborn to see highest good. so ok, the day before my buyer arrived in town I had this dream. a little short guy with a pot belly was dashing about in my dream living room highly energetic, highly organized and perceptive and greatly pleased what I have done to this little house in the way of improvements. I was very pleased and he was very pleased also, so the wait to receive him since Feb was all worth it. I had intended for the perfect person to live here, who would enjoy this town, and appreciate the little place I put my sweat into (and a little blood too!) when he did appear on my door step, he was short, had a pot belly, was energetic (a cyclist) highly perceptive (nearly crawled under my house to inspect it) as well he's very organized and of course I needed a cash buyer and he is that. we were so happy to see each other, like old friends we immediately hugged. hugging is somewhat unusual for me, so it means something when I do this. we're not like soul mates, but like happy playmates in the moment.

I just kept asking "where is my buyer?" since feb. it just wasn't going to happen without my participation. I used to email potential buyers a lot about the town and the house, so I did work at it as I knew there was one person out there who would fit the criteria, but I'm certainly not bragging as it took me so long! I'm glad we can have these experiences, a glimpse, a stepping outside of time, of linear time, a chance to heave a sigh of relief that surely the universe is unfolding exactly as planned despite it has it's own time framework to outpicture.
I think it's so funny to see body type of a person in dream state as I never thought the physical body was important in any way, now it seems my dream detail would say this is your verification, that this is your buyer u have looked for, and u will recognize his body now, but more than that was his energy signature, as we are basically, energy composite beings after we step outside the body. so glad you are dropping in here Vicky, your light never ceases to shine on us.

Hi Justin!  Yes, this was quite an intense experience, to say the least.  And I agree, I'm sure there's a reason we don't get this sort of thing all the time!  (I wish!)  And yes, I'd like to keep in touch with you, thanks. 

Hi there Ryan!  When this feeling happened, I had not ever met him yet at that point.  The reason I say I believe he felt something as well, when we finally did meet, is because of the awkward pause he took to look in my eyes, and the look of a little shock on his face.  But it wasn't something we talked about.  It was just a surprising moment.

Thanks for letting me know about this author and her books.  I will definitely take a look at it.  I was hoping to get exactly that...an exact comparison to my experience.  I haven't heard of "cording".
I have had experiences with people before where I had that familiar feeling, feeling like I have known them.  But this was the only time I've ever felt a sort of "merging".  I think I need to re-read Bruce's description of this.
