When releasing general negativity, where does it go?  Is it good to visualise it going somewhere?  Does some of it come back for a while, through bad stuff through people?

Thanks for the thoughts, so far.  To give the background, the other day, i just felt tired of the negativity. In a sort of visualisation, i released it up into the air, to dissapate in the surrounding area.  The following day, people were just walking right into my path.  I was like, wtf?

I read somewhere, that other peoples' negativity, hate, curses, etc being projected at you, if you notice it, you can visualise shorting it out to the earth, down to the core, so it never reaches you.

Does alysia send back good, positive ones and light in exchange for the negative?

Of course, if intent works, you could set up any visual you like for neutralizing negativity. Does it matter if it is absolutely correct or does good imaging count? Maybe you could imagine a buffer zone around yourself, a strong buffer that neutralizes bad vibes. Or maybe you could learn to recycle the negativity...probably a graduate level activity..but be a transformer..or is that too much like a kids' cartoon show? But isn't that one of the things we are "supposed" to learn?

No, sorry!  Sometimes, after a long period of heavy discussion,  I just feel an overwhelming urge to say the dumbest thing I can  think of.    There is an exercise on the Gateway CDs in which one exhales stale psychic energy and inhales new positive energy.  When I do this, I find myself worrying that I'm polluting my dining room with the stale energy.   But then I remind myself that it's just an exercise to put me in the right state of mind.  

Now let me find a way to  take your question more seriously.   There are many well-documented cases of shamans killing an unsuspecting victim by the power of negative intention manifested through a ritualistic contact of evil spirits.   One wonders if such psychic assassination works in lesser degrees when we feel intense hatred for someone we dislike or when we fantasize about vengeance.   It is unclear what the factors are that make these victims vulnerable.  What seems clear is this: a development of a positive spirituality that is love-based rather than fear-based seems to protect one from such unseen attacks.
