In his post to Bethany regarding the fate of murder victims, Dave_A_Mbs said that if the murder victim is full of rage and hate for the perpetrator... that person takes on a "new life of karmic residues and defenses." Might that be something like this... (assuming you could dictate terms of your next incarnation...) In your next life, you get to be a mega-aggressive, steel-nerved "James Bond" type... perhaps an elite Delta Force operative with super-modified combat skills, a chest 3 feet across, 27-inch biceps, 10 black belts in various and sundry little-known martial arts, reflexes like a black panther, ect... and the mental discipline to accomplish ALL these things by the time you were 23 years old. And the PERP reincarnates too. He gets to be a tubby little accountant with bad eyesight (AND a neurotic, panic-prone personality - the better for him to fully feel TERROR) who got drafted to fight for HIS country... And guess who he gets to meet in battle..? YOU!!! (Hey, this revenge idea (mine) is a lot less cruel than what SOME people would dig... at least it would be over quickly when he and you met!) If you weren't the forgiving type, might you at least get a "revenge" of your specification, as per the good old law of karma? Or would you have to spend the next 19 billion years trying to hammer the "square peg" of your essential character into the "round hole" of the forgiving "Mr. Rogers" personality type??? (This is assuming you WEREN'T a Mr. Rogers type to begin with! If you were, no problemo I guess.) If this were true, and science proved there WAS this kind of "revenge reality" in the afterlife... I'll bet you'd see society become one helluva more POLITE place to live in! (How many people would want to be Hitler or Saddam Hussein, for starters..? I wouldn't, that's for sure!)
