I think that this is also somewhat of a taboo complimentary thread to the one path to enlightenment issued earlier. That is, is there truth out there that is real, or is everything subjective?
Many of us are open minded. However, is everybody right to some extent? Are right and wrong artificial labels placed on beliefs, or is there an ultimate truth (other than the fact that we and everyone in the universe are one)?
Let us take as an example a false chaneling. Not one that anyone on this board knows. Lets call him Ethan. If Ethan comes through another with a message that sounds true, but the person chanelling is not really doing it (perhaps for monetary, fame or other reasons), what are we to make of these ideas? Some may resonate with us. In one sense, if it were a fraud, then saying the followers of Ethan were being misled, would be true. In another light, if Ethan or the false speaker spoke of love, unity, and consciousness - some of the ideas may appear true to our intuition.
So, is there truth out there, an ultimate truth, or is everybody right?
So then, when we see on these boards a myriad of opinions quoting Sweedenberg, Cayce, Monroe, Moen and others, it is easy in one sense to say that they are all right. However, that is too PC for my tastes. One has to remove what teachings resonate with our inner true self (as Alysia said about Elias), and try to make one's own connection to the universe.
This, above all, I feel is true. That through meditation, relaxation, playful interactions with each other, we should experiment and learn to connect.
I'd be interested in hearing other thoughts on this thread, about truth and the specific example I gave.
Best Regards,
Matthew
