Since I posted animal photos that didn't work, and I don't know how to delete that post, I thought I'd post an actual animal post. ROAR! It's called: "Love works better than fear."
I went to my barber's house today to get a hair cut. When I arrived there she had a new long haired dauschund (translation: "Wiener dog," or "Tofu dog" for vegetarians).
I asked her about the dog, and she said that her son gave it to her, because he was ready to kill it. He couldn't train it to relieve itself in the right place, and it barked all the time.
My barber trained the dog in less than a week. She did so by bringing the dog's unwanted gifts to a place she wanted it to leave them, and pet and shared love with it as she did so.
The next time the dog did its duty, it left its unwanted gifts in the gifting area that was indicated. When my barber saw this she enthusiastically told the dog what a good doggie it is, hug it, pet it, sent it good vibes, and gave it a piece of bacon (think "fakin bacon" vegetarians of the World). The dog hasn't had any gifting problems since the above incident happened. And it no longer barks like crazy.
My barber's son called her about a week after he left the dog. "Are you ready to kill it?" he asked. Quite naturally, she explained that everything is fine.
Right now the dog is my barber's close companion, and follows her around throughout the day. It also gets along very well with her cat. They kiss each other.
