Mystic Dreamer,

I personally try to avoid using the word 'ghost' because of the fear attached to that word for most people. They are after all, just people, and not a Hollywood horror production.

This is my personal protocol and I certainly would not expect others to do the same.

I agree with this. What's up with Hollywood, trying to paint a negative picture of spirits all the time. Not very nice at all. Do spirits go around telling each other "boo" all the time?

I might watch it then. I think it would enjoyable to watch a film of spirits sharing love. I just hope that people sitting around me don't make too much noise with their tubs of popcorn. Shh!

you guys are cracking me up as usual on this thread Grin
I've never seen shadows or lights..I feel left out! Lips Sealed but I did sense a presence now and again thru out my life which isn't over yet I hope Cheesy
one of my road signs in my book is a presense that walked in the room, that I couldn't see, but which delivered "boost" then proceeded to have a conversation with me to get me off drugs! (I was a hippy, good excuse to take drugs) Cheesy  I said well, I like my drugs, so if you are really here, put me in jail. He did. turns out one of the cops that came to put me away seemed awfully familiar to me! must have been an astral traveler then!

Just don't laugh too hard when I'm trying to listen to the movie.   Lips Sealed I wouldn't want to miss an "I love you."  Smiley

Last election night I was in a vile mood, so I went to bed early and read.  John was asleep, house was quiet.  I was sitting up reading, definitely nowhere near asleep, when something made me look up.  Our bed is this huge hideous early 70s water bed complete with mirrored ceiling (yuck!).  It fills most of the room, and the door to the bedroom is just off the end of the bed, about two feet.  So I look toward the doors, which are ajar but not open...through them (double doors) comes this long (five foot or thereabouts) spiral of smoke or fog, just boppin' along, it comes around the end of the bed, gets about halfway to me (bed is about a foot and a half from the wall, which is mostly picture window, heavily curtained).  It then "sees" me, does a "take worthy of an old "B" horror movie, and goes "ZIP!!" out the window!

I'm sitting there with my mouth hanging open, thinking "Damn!  I'm even repulsive to ghosts tonight!"  Not an inspiring thought.  I must have really been in a really evil mood, because I haven't seen much of anything of the resident beasties since them.  Kinda miss them.

LOL!  We had one (before the purge...sigh) who claimed his name was Ted...he was a twenty-four carat BS artist...told my kid and her boyfriend all sorts of crap.  I finally had to explain to them that just because someone is dead doesn't make them honest (I don't think Ted was a bad person, if a little curmudgeonly, just  one of those old guys that likes to string you along with a line and then laugh at you for buying it.)  They called him on it, he got huffy, but he got over it.

Then there was the little old lady who invited a friend of mine to have tea with her...my friend decided standing outside in the cold watching her husband and I work on a car was a *great* way to spend the afternoon! Hmmph...she never asked *me* to tea...though a few days after she talked to Hope, she (I assume) patted me gingerly on the back of the head, like you might pet a dog you thought might bite...

There's just something about living in a hundred and thirty year old house...;>)

I got one who said she wanted to play, and she would move things and I should put them back...

OK, well, I didn't notice anything and I told her to do something more obvious. She did. She moved a full can of paint! I guess I'd better not piss her off!

thanks for sharing with us that spirits are just common folks Cricket...not ghosts, not scarey, just folks attracted to us for whatever reason, and they retain a sense of humor or even can be great teasers! well, my guides make me laugh, they know how to make me grow this way. as I have been a serious person in my younger day, so all is well. I don't have any spirits hanging about, but wouldn't bother me any. probably they don't come around me as I'd soon be escorting them to another level...born to retrieve I suppose, and I can never seem to let sleeping dogs lie...just so long as everybody's quite happy I'm satisfied too and not every spirit is immediately retrievable to another locale, but if I sense something hanging about me, I am way too curious why they would be attracted to my energy and immediately start the 3rd degree 8)  as i can learn something I am sure!
Bob, did you see with your physical eye the paint can move? very interesting.

No, I didn't see it move. I found it moved and my intuition told me it was moved by someone, and I deduced it was by her.

However, this morning the medium I work with told me it was in fact moved, not by her, but by different one. LOL!

I had told the one who said she wanted to play to do something more obvious because I hadn't seen anything yet. Thru the medium she told me to not be so impatient. This lady was 92 when she passed, and I got the impression of being scolded! She hadn't moved the can of paint but a different one did, one I don't know, but there are so many in this house that I can't distinguish them all the time.

This medium also told me that the one I wrote about in a different post, one I saw at a pizza joint and walked up to and said "I see you" was actually scared by me and that I need to learn to handle these people as individuals. I didn't realize that I could scare a dead person so easily, but apparently I did. I apparently am supposed to help this person.   Well, OK, no more saying "Boo" to a nonphysical. I guess some of them, like other people, don't have much of a sense of irony or humor!
