Relative committed suicide in home I bought
Sep 13th, 2005 at 1:19pm

Hello,

My wife and I recently purchased my grandmother's house (who died 3 years ago) from my mother and uncle.  The house was built in 1929 and has only housed members of my family since it was built (5 generations!)

During this time, 4 people have died inside of the house, 3 of natural causes (including my grandmother) and one suicide.  The suicide was my mother's uncle who was an alcoholic.  One night in 1950-1951 he got drunk and shot himself in the basement with a shotgun (there is still a wine cork in the hole in the ceiling)

I was always my grandmother's favorite, and because of this I feel as if I won't be bothered by any spirits or ghosts, but I guess I'm still curious as to what you think I can expect and how I should act around the house.  The suicide is interesting to me, but kinda freaks me out.

I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid post.

Thanks

Hello SDC

I Guess that the main point when we die is that we do not change just because we’ve died. So if one is stubborn or violent or poet whatever one is, He/She will remain the same there.

The way they accept/understand what have happened to then will define the way they feel there. The way they feel there will define their conditions of being helped.
Some can easily be helped an others don’t (that’s the point were people here who deal with retrieves play an important role).

The ones who commit Suicide are usually the worst ones to help due to their emotional state but it doesn’t mean that your mother's uncle is instill at His former house.  He might had already been retrieved. About that subject I’m sure that a lot of people at this Forum can give you more valuable information.

PS: If you feel something bad just talk about it in loud voice in order to let whoever was there know that you have good intentions and would like to help, or simple pray asking to somebody help HE/SHE. Being calm is the very best way to deal with this kind of situation. But I Feel that you won’t have problems because if you would it probably had already been noticed by now

My hope is to get there whatever does "there" mean...

SDC,

Did you grandmother ever say, she felt the presence of your uncle in the house?

I don't think you have anything to be concerned about, with all your generations running through this house I'm sure its filled with love, lets face it you wouldn't have purchased it other wise. So enjoy your new home, I'm sure You' l be very happy there, lots of warmth in those walls.

By the way if she did say she felt him, there are ways you can set him free .

The guy who built my house had a heart attack in the garage and died.  He hangs out mostly in the cellar now.  He communicates with one of my children - they have a hilarious relationship.  I've only seen him once, she has seen him on numerous occassions.  Don't be afraid, ghosts won't hurt you. Smiley
