Voyage beyond doubt
Oct 31st, 2017 at 4:15pm

Hi

Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to Bruce for some excellent books.  I lost both my parents recently and they give me hope that they might still be around.  And I’m sure many other people have benefitted from your work in that way too.

I wondered if I could please ask a question.  In the second book – Voyage Beyond Doubt – on page 248 it reads, “Thanking Ribby for his explanation, I decided to look in on Mai.  I found her easily and escorted her to the village…”  As Mai was the physical person who contacted Bruce from the advert in the Nic-Nac-Nook, I am wondering whether Bruce found Mai non-physically in this story?  If so, would she have been physically awake or asleep at the time?  Did she have any recollection of meeting Bruce non-physically?  In the next chapter, the Hounds of Hell, the same thing happens with Lesley who contacted Bruce asking for help.

Secondly, I am wondering whether these days there is a community or a website to pay for someone to try and connect with those who have passed away, and help them if need be?

I am going to buy the Afterlife Knowledge guidebook, it sounds amazing!

Thank you,
Douglas

Hi Douglas, and welcome to the Conversation Board  Smiley

First, I moved your thread here to the Book Forums so that it doesn't get lost in the main forum.  It's nice to keep topics in their places so others can easily find them.

Second, I'd like to take a stab at your questions.  Perhaps Bruce will chime in as well.

You're asking the exact same kind of questions that I asked Bruce when I first met him (and probably many times thereafter).  I too was always perplexed by the nonphysical aspect of things and how it worked and it took me a long time to let it all sink in.  And in fact I asked Bruce about this same story.  I believe that Bruce contacted Mai's nonphysical self.  I don't know if he said or did anything to her physical self, but it seems in this instance when he says he "looked in on Mai" and found her he means a nonphysical aspect of Mai.  It would not matter if Mai was physically awake or asleep while this happened.

I think that people typically do not have recollection of something like this, not that it's not possible but just that it's not typically the case.  I've had many nonphysical experiences with Bruce where he doesn't remember the experience.  He's also had experiences with me where I don't remember it.  For me there's so much proof that these visits are real that I just trust that they are real, and so does Bruce.  In fact he's told me stories of lots of other people who have had nonphysical visits with him and he doesn't typically have recollection of it.

I remember years ago when Bruce was helping me to contact my dad after his death.  We were trying to meet up nonphysically with my dad.  Being less experienced, I had trouble getting a strong connection and staying focused in the visit and Bruce said he saw me fading in and out.  What really proved to me that this was all real was that Bruce was able to describe my dad, my dad's physical ailment that led to his death, he described my dad's family room and where he sat in his favorite chair, and he also saw my grandmother.  The list goes on.  There's no doubt in my mind that Bruce was really in contact with my dad because I know that he had no knowledge of those facts.

About your second question, I'm sure there are people you could pay to connect with someone who has passed on and to help them, but you yourself can learn to do this and you really should try.  I say that because it's not only good for the person you want to reach, it's good for your own spiritual learning.

I'm glad you're going to buy Bruce's Guidebook!  I suggest that you also go ahead and buy the MP3 or the CD set that goes along with the book.  You will not regret it, trust me.  It's such an amazing book with so much information, and Bruce does an excellent job explaining things.

Vicky

Thank you Vicky for your very thoughtful reply!  That really helps me understand things Smiley
I remember also towards the start of the book that he meets up non-physically with 'Rebecca' and the next day shares the details over the phone, matching to the finest detail!
It's also very interesting that Bruce could experience the non-physical dimension whilst in a car, waiting to move, as well as lying down, meditating etc.  There's so much to learn!
And yes I've just ordered the book and CD set through this website (I'm based in the UK).
Your book looks really good too, so I shall buy it through amazon!
Thank you again,
Douglas

Oh wow, thank you for buying my book.  I hope you enjoy it!  Some people say it's kind of heavy on the details and info, but I do get very good reviews and feedback of it.  I'm still writing, so hopefully my writing style will improve  Wink  Since that first book was memoir style, I want to focus on teaching, specifically about OBEs and psychic development.

Also-- Yes, Bruce's friend "Rebecca" was quite incredible in her abilities and experience.

I'm so grateful to Bruce and for knowing him and all that I've learned.  It's why I'm so passionate about helping to pass it on!

Hi Vicky

Just to say I've really enjoyed reading your fantastic book Persephone's Journey and learnt a lot from it.  Beautifully written and captivating throughout!  Have you written any other books or courses?

I'm very saddened to hear of Bruce's recent passing and I hope it was as smooth as these things can be.  Losing both my parents in the past five years and being alone has taught me that having had spiritual experiences does not help with the very difficult emotion that is grief, and the actual physical missing of someone.  I hope his family and friends are coping as well as they can.  I wonder if anyone has connected with him yet or if it is probably too early.

I realise I must have received my signed copy of the Afterlife Guidebook a few weeks before he passed, and feel very honoured to be one of the last people to receive a copy with a handwritten message inside the front cover!

Thank you again for a brilliant book and maybe see you on the astral planes (though I never remember!)

Douglas

Thank you so very much for your compliments!  I'm happy that you learned and got a lot from it.  I have two other books that I've written but were put on hold due to my cancer and treatment, and then further kept on hold since I was taking care of my mom through her cancer for the past year and her recent passing in January this year.  The good news about putting writing on hold is that when you revisit it you want to freshen it up with new and more ideas.  And I've been still doing more writings, journaling, and always keeping notes of my experiences so there's a lot more material to add.  And I have some new ideas for restyling these two books that I'm really excited to try out.  Thanks for asking!

I'm still so very saddened about Bruce's death, and just writing this sentence write now has me in tears.  I've been crying every time I think about him lately.  Everyone deals with death, grief, and their emotions and the way they process it all in their own way.  What I noticed for me was that I have been so overwhelmed, busy, and consumed emotionally by having been taking care of my mother for the past year, that when Bruce passed away I really did not have the time or ability to grieve in the way that I really needed to.  A good friend pointed that out to me recently, by telling me that I still need to grieve despite my very good belief system, experience, and understanding about life and death and the afterlife.  It's as if I have been handling it too well.  So I took her advice and have been really, really allowing myself to go through the grieving process and just allow my feelings to surface, allow myself to feel them, allow myself to cry no matter where I'm at!  So if I'm at the grocery store and feel sadness and tears arise, I'm not holding them back, I just let it flow.  It's been wonderful because I'm finally feeling so normal, alive, real, and full.  I think I had lost myself in giving, doing, and being so much for my mother and the stress I was under.  I lost sight of my ability to really feel connected to my feelings and emotions because I was in work-mode all the time!

Yes I completely agree that the physical process of grief and those emotions is difficult even for those of us who have had spiritual experiences to bring us so much comfort and understanding about what happens after we die.  For me, I'm thankful for finally having the chance to feel and go through the process.

I talk to Bruce daily and by that I mean I'm always intending and sending thoughts to him when I think of him.  It helps me cope.  And I completely believe he gets my messages and feels my emotion and intention.  There are some times when I really do feel I'm receiving a message or feelings in return from him.  I'm expecting I will feel more of that the more that I allow myself to shift into altered states as I open up to my own grieving process.  Bruce and I were such good friends and we talked often, usually a video chat, and it's that regular contact that I miss so much.  I miss connecting like that, sharing events in our lives, making each other laugh, getting his advice and encouragement.  I can't wait to the time comes when I get to be with him again.   Cry

I think that's awesome that you got it and that you feel that way.  That's special.  Have you read through the Guidebook yet?  Have you done the exercises, and do you have his recordings that come with it?

Thanks Vicky.  Yes you are so right, grief is something you never recover from, you get used to.  That's why I sometimes get tetchy when people who haven't been through grief think "oh but surely you've had enough time?" They don't really understand what it's like.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your mother recently.  That's tough, and there's always so much to do after someone passes.  A year after I lost my Mum I went to see a really good medium who gave me such detail from her, it was nice.  Sometimes it's nice to do something like that even if you have spiritual experiences as it's coming through someone else, if that makes sense.  You can be the client as opposed to the one doing the work, whether your Mum comes through or Bruce does.

I'm sorry to hear you have been undergoing cancer treatment though I hope it is all progressing well.  Take good care of yourself as if it's chemo as it does make you very tired.  Hopefully that will all be behind you soon.

I also had 12 sessions of bereavement counselling which was a great way of talking through everything, which helps stop the bottling-up we can all do and gets the emotion out.

Most of all, Bruce would want you to stand tall, smile, know he is with you and enjoy your life.  He wouldn't want anyone to be sad for him I'm sure.  He's probably having a great time Wink

I'm enjoying the guidebook very much and starting to do the finger bending exercise and getting into the habit of meditating.  One of the things I learnt from your book is that negative thoughts play out in other dimensions, just knowing that has helped me curtail them, so thank you!  One of my guides said that wanting to be 'out there' is fine, but also I've got hard work to do down here!!

Thank you so much for your reply Smiley
