The Solar System & the larger consciousness system
Apr 16th, 2017 at 9:55pm

There are various different sources that speak on how the physical Planets are like physical symbols of different consciousness states. The ones that I know of are Plato, Emmanuel Swedenborg, Rudolph Steiner, and Edgar Cayce.

The source I'm most familiar with is Edgar Cayce. Having looked at the other sources some, I've also concluded that Cayce's work is the most accurate and helpful of these different sources.

In this work, each Planet and Zodiac Sign represents a different kind of consciousness.  The Planets represent nonphysical, "Afterlife" levels, focuses, dimensions, stages, or whatever you want to call them.  In Cayce's work, these are ordered in a descending to ascending, hierarchical like order.  Meaning, each dimension or level is either more expanded or more limited/narrow than the other.

Kevin Williams, a guy who runs a NDE site talks some about Cayce's work in relation to these ideas and concepts, but gets some things off and inaccurate about it.  For example, he shares a chart that a person asked Cayce's guidance about and they said it was a decent chart, but not necessarily correct in a archetypal, universal sense.  Yet, Kevin and others have used this chart in such a manner.

In this system of consciousness, the physical Earth is one of the slowest vibratory of the dimensions--only beat out by Saturn which corresponds to the experience of a Soul destroying or banishing itself from it's "maker" and to the areas for those who have not kept the ways clean (using Cayce's guidance's terminology).  The Sun on the other hand represents the fastest vibratory/most expanded dimension of this consciousness system that human connected Souls are part of.

What do I mean by "fastest vibratory/most expanded"?  I mean the relative relationship of that dimension/focus to that of PUL.  In other words, the Solar dimension represents the most attunement to PUL that a singular symbol can represent.  I connect golden light in a aura sense to strong attunement to the Solar Consciousness.  Interestingly, the Dali Lama has the Sun Rising in his chart, which means that the Sun is a very strong symbol in his astrological chart.  Any Planet in the 1st House, near the Ascendant, and/or the Planet closest to the Ascendant/Rising degree tends to be very strong of a consciousness in a person's psyche.

This doesn't mean that the Solar dimension is all there is as far as growth towards Source and PUL.  In truth, it's but a stepping stone to greater levels and systems of consciousness towards that of completion. Keep in mind, various sources from Tom Campbell and Howard Storm indicate that this Earth and Solar consciousness system is considered like a preschool or kindergarten in the grand scheme of things.  In other words, growth and awareness is all relative.  A recent graduate from this system, would likely be considered by completed, fully Source attuned individuals, to still have a ways to go towards full Source attunement.

In my next post, I'll post some excerpts from the Cayce readings regarding the indications and attunements that each Planetary symbol represents. I'll start at the slowest vibratory (Saturn) and work the way up to the fastest vibratory (Sun and Arcturus).  It's important to mention though, that the average person is coming in  with various different consicousnesses highlighed in their psyche and energy system.  Yet, almost always was a person given a "primary" symbol in a Life Reading.  Often Cayce's guidance would start off with saying something like, "The entity entered in from Venus, and with Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury, contributing."  The "order" given, indicated the strongest to least strong, but still highlighted consciousnesses within that person's psyche, particularly the ones a person was born with.

Yet, it was clear that individuals could grow to different, either more expanded, or less expanded consciousnesses than with what they came in with originally.  For example, a Soul could have entered into the Earth dimension from the nonphysical dimension that Jupiter represents, but due to freewill, they could have grown to the next level (Sun, or even Arcturus), or they could have degraded themselves to say Uranus, or Venus, all depending on how they used their will in an average and consistent sense.

The Zodiac signs symbolize more body/physical consciousness states and patterns, which relate more to the earthly personality and life of a person, and thus tend to be more influenced by outer conditions, events, etc and generally could be considered more "wavering" in nature.  The Planets on the other hand, relate more to the deeper, less changing inner character of a person.  This is because the Planets represent/symbolize our nonphysical experiences and sojourns in between physical lives. If for example, you were a fairly decent hearted person whom tried to be positive and kind to others, but didn't unusually or greatly exceed in this area--say you were more loving in the more commonly "personal" sense, you would like be attracted to the nonphysical, afterlife dimension that Venus represents.

Continuing that line of thought, say your Spirit decides to create another self to live another life, or more rarely the above Soul decides to directly reincarnate, then chances are, the Venus consciousness will be the strongest initial consciousness in the person's new personality.  Yet, if a new "Disk mix" so to speak, there likely would be contributing consciousnesses and experiences.

Interestingly, Venus (the nonphysical dimension/consciousness state this planet corresponds to and symbolizes) seems to be one of the more common after life experiences and brought over influence.  It is akin to the "Park area" that some connected to Monroe and/or TMI talk about.  Not just that "area", but the areas near same.

Anyways, let's start with some excerpts from the E.C. readings, taken from people's "Life Readings" which outlined their combo of astrological and other life indications. As mentioned earlier, we'll start at the slowest vibratory and work our way "up" so to speak, or rather more accurately, faster vibratory/more expanded (more attuned to PUL).

Saturn as change and purification:  "In Saturn as the beginning of earthly woes, that to which all insufficient matter is cast for the beginning" excerpted from Reading 900-10

"In Saturn for that cleansing that must come to all that have departed from the earth and have not kept the ways clean."  Excerpted from reading 442-3

Psychologically, bringing over strong attunement to Saturn nonphysical experiences/dimension, tended to lead to a definite materialism and selfishness, as well as a strong tendency towards wanting change constantly--particularly in the attitude and approach of the "grass is ever greener on the other side".  On the other hand, Saturn strong natally, or becoming temporarily strong transit wise, often indicated periods of sudden and/or violent change that is often testing and challenging in nature. Aura colors I associate with Saturn range from severe lack of light aka intense darkness as the kind found in psychopaths, to deep, dark green, to temporary showing up of deeper greens and the more positive use of same as certain shades of clearer and brighter, but deeper greens (the balancing color).

"Saturn would make for the entity having many homes, or many marriages--and these are not well in the experience if there are to be developments."  Excerpted from reading 1431-1

"We find in Saturn the influences that to man, and oft to self, become stumbling stones or blockings of ways in which all the beautiful thoughts, all the good intentions come tumbling because of material or social hindrances." 2823-1

Regarding the death/banishment aspect of Saturn:  "Q-What is meant by banishment of a soul from it's Maker?  A-Of the will as giving in the beginning to choose for self as in the earthly plane, all insufficient matter is cast unto Saturn.  To work out his own salvation as would be termed in the word, the entity or individual banishes itself, or it's soul."   Is Cayce's guidance talking about a Disk/Spirit letting go of one of it's probes/Souls so it becomes dissolved into non coherence?  Seems likely.

Mars as anger/wrath/madness and the fire of passion and desire.  The colors I associate with Mars in an aura sense are regular reds and red oranges primarily--when combined with strong Saturn and/or Pluto at the same time, often dark, murderous, crimson type reds:

"From Mars we find a tendency for the body-mind at times to be easily aroused to anger. Anger is correct, provided it is governed.  For it is as material things in the earth that are not governed. There is power even in anger.  He that is angry and sinneth not controls self." 361-4

"In Mars we find anger, animosity, covetousness becoming the influences or force for detrimental activity in the experience." 1797-1

"Mars indicates the abilities to hate as well as to love." 2902-1

"In Mars and Vulcan (another label/name for Pluto, before it was officially discovered and named)--beware of fire, and especially of firearms, or explosives... Beware of wrath in self, and in grudges as may be builded (built) through wrath's influence int he relationships of the fellow man." 1735-2

We all know the Earth and what it's experience is like.  No need to go into that, except to mention that the Earth is the emotional and mixed experience par excellence.  Where all dimensions and levels can be expressed and mixed and attuned to to different degrees, combos, etc. It's where the most primary growth is experienced and experiences and choices we make here tend to either "make or break" us in relation to our experiences in the nonphysical.

Moon as softer, less sudden and less violent change: The aura colors I most associate with Moon are coral pinks, lighter, brighter greens (in the most positive sense), and grays of fear and worry. Moon strong tends to lead to a certain weakness of character, but not in any strong, or overt sense.  More of a soft, feminine, passive kind of weakness where a person doesn't want to deal with harsh (meaning rawly true) realities about self, others, and/or life. A kind of distorted rose colored glasses towards self, others, and/or life. Moon is correlated with fear/worry (often a fear of fear) and emotional imbalance to some extent, and the term "lunacy" originally comes from the term "lunar" which is another for Moon. The Moon also had some connections to romance--partly in the lust and partly in the emotional attraction sense.  People strongly attuned to, or rather indicated by the symbol of the Moon, tend to be overly attached to affairs of the heart and sex, similar in a manner to Venus, but a bit more base and lower center oriented way than Venus, but not as overtly sexual/lust oriented as Mars.  On the positive side, a strong indication of Moon could indicate a certain amount of sympathy in a person. The Moon wasn't talked a lot about in the Cayce readings

"The sun indicates strength and life, the moon indicates change."  5746-1

"The moon's elements....bring the forces in love affairs." 900-6

"Being under the influences of the moon and sun also, we find in the sun the strength and in the moon, weakness."  2990-2

Mercury is an odd one in some senses, because it can range from the somewhat slow vibratory yellow of the intellectual mind, to the yellow golden of a wise, more love and Solar attuned heart-mind connection. Mercury is most often used in the former sense, but as it never strays too far from the Sun, it often is connected to the Sun directly by conjunction. Hence the intellectual mind can be infused by the Spirit and heart centered Sun. Generally speaking though, Mercury is very "left brain" oriented.

When strongly connected to the Sun in some manner, Mercury is often correlated with a pretty fast vibratory state--such as corresponds to a very golden yellow color. More typically, it corresponds to regular yellows and tans the more material minded, intellectual types.  In that case, it is a much slower vibratory expression and attunement.  Perhaps more than any other symbol, Mercury is most relative to and influenced by the other strongest Planetary factors in a person. Someone with say Sun, Jupiter, and/or Neptune very strong along with Mercury, will show a very different and "higher" kind of Mercury, than one with Saturn, Mars, Pluto, and/or Moon very strong as well as Mercury.

Nonphysically, Mercury corresponds to the "akashic library" dimension where all knowledge, data, and info is stored, and where Souls "study" various things from other lives, to astrology, to various connections between different systems, to material oriented inventions, etc.  In a more broad, consciousness sense, Mercury also correlates to strong attunement to intellect and mind in various different experiences, whether earthly, nonphysical, or former ET.   Souls coming in from the Gray ET experience or history, for example, tend to have Mercury very strong in their earthly charts.

"From Mercury we find the high mental abilities, and yet these may at times cause rather harsh judgments."  958-3

"Mercury--high minded; a thinker; deep." 2823-1

Talking about the experience of and attunement to various different other planets, then addressing Mercury "The Mercury influence of mental understanding of each." 900-14

"In Mercury, there is the influence of a keenness of perception in mental things; adaptable easily to some forms of mathematical problems, and for order or symmetrical activity in association with those activities of self; prompt in keeping the appointments to self, to others; slothful in forgiving those that would in any manner willfully attempt to deceive;..."  553-1

"In Mercury...a memory that if kept in a developing way and manner becomes rather unusual--as to data, as to facts or figures, as to statistical developments in any field in which it may be applied."  1252-1

"Sudden changes are indicated in Saturn; high mental ability and capabilities in Mercury; self centeredness in Pluto...
In Mars a high, exalted opinion of self; which is well, but abused--as it may be in Pluto, or in Mercury--may become a stumbling stone."  3126-1  (this person definitely had issues and things to work on, and was a more immature/undeveloped Soul, which is why all of the slower vibratory symbols were strongest in their chart).

"The entity is among those who have entered in the earth during those years when there was the great entrance of those who have risen high in their abilities;* and...there must be application of the will, else the very abilities that have been maintained in the sun and mercurian influences will become as stumbling blocks."  633-2  * Cayce's guidance seems to be referring to Atlantean periods where extremes of both fast vibrations and very slow vibrations were experienced, often simultaneously within the same culture and sometimes even in the same individuals (the latter of which, we shall see, often leads to attunement to that symbol called Uranus--that of the extremes).

We will get to the more middle vibrations of Venus and Uranus some other time. As mentioned, Mercury can be somewhat slow vibratory-- somewhat close to the middle (think of yellow in the color wheel), or somewhat fast vibratory (near golden light).

Ah, beautiful Venus whom represents nonphysically the dimensions that some call the Park and the "Summerland" (the dimension that most human connected souls eventually phase to and spend most of their time in).  In the more expanded levels of the main dimension that Venus symbolizes, does one become aware of the ability and capacity to be a guide or helper type.  You could say that Venus can represent the beginning helper/guide in training. In the body, Venus corresponds to the Thymus gland, which some refer to as the Heart Center or Chakra. In a sense, this is more the "unawakened", more personally loving Heart.  The awakened, more universally loving Heart starts to become more attuned to Golden Light, and is more connected to the Sun and Arcturus, but that will be talked about later.

Astrologically and besides the above, Venus can also represent in a more psychological sense, tendencies towards and character traits of, kindness, affection, friendliness, sympathy, empathy, sociability, arts, music, dance, and/or singer.  She is most innately represented by a cyan color, but when combined with faster vibratory levels and symbols such as the higher aspects of Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter, the Sun, and/or Arcturus--she can correlate to more rose pink and mauve type colors in an aura sense.

Venus also has it's "dark side", or rather lacking in Light side.  She can be too much for personal love and attachment, and less about universal love in a more impersonal and detached manner that the more expanded levels correspond to. Most often, she is the love of one's partner, one's children, one's friends, one co-workers, one's church/similar belief system, etc.  When out of balance and attunement to the more expanded forces, she (and those whom have same strong in self), can become overly hedonistic, romance, and/or material oriented.

Some excerpts about Venus: "In the astrological aspects we find that, through influences from sojourns in the Venus environs, the entity is a lover of beauty; especially of song...  Hence all things that have to do with phases of man's ability of expression in beautiful ways and manners will be of interest... whether pertaining to nature, to voice or song, or even to art subjects."  1990-5

"As Venus is the ruling influence in the experience, we find that the home will be, should be, the channel through which the greater abilities... may be made manifest.
Not that there are not abilities in music, in art...
But making an artistic home, making a home that is the expression of beauty in all it's phases, is the greater career of any individual soul. This is the closer expression of that which has been manifested in the experiences of man's advent into materiality." 2571-1

"In Venus the body-form is near to that in the three dimensional plane.  For it is what may be said to be rather all-inclusive!  For it is that ye would call love--which, to be sure, may be licentious, selfish; which also may be so larger, so inclusive as to take on the less of self and more f the ideal, more of that which is giving.
What is love?  Then what is Venus?  It is beauty, love, hope, charity--yet all of these have their extremes.  But these extremes are not in the expressive nature or manner... found in in that tone or attunement of Uranus; for they are in the order that they blend one with another." 5755-1

Uranus as that of the extremes, the unusual, the ultra, the imbalanced or polarized, and of the psychic or intuitive:  Uranus was an interesting one in the Cayce Readings--it seems to less represent a specific nonphysical dimension in and of itself, but more of a composite of experiences.

On more than a couple occasions, Cayce's indicated that after a Saturn experience of a banishment or destruction of a Soul self, then the entity would enter temporarily into a higher/expanded dimension, and that the combo of both the slow vibratory Saturn experience, and the temporary fast vibratory experience after, together created the consciousness state that corresponds to the symbol Uranus.

Hence, Uranus is par excellence the combination of both rather slow vibratory AND fast vibratory influences existing within self simultaneously.  In a color to aura analogy, it would be like having strong combos of say a good amount of red, at the same time as a good amount of say indigo in the aura.  Those more strongly attuned to this consciousness, tend to swing between these two extreme, very different expressions and attunements, which could lead to all sorts of extremes and tendency to imbalance.  In more psychological terms, Uranisans are those that tend to be kind of eccentric, kind of "crank", overly fixed or yet inconsistent in their approaches, and/or considered by others as "lop sided" in their approach, beliefs, and/or behaviors.

Edgar Cayce himself was a Uranian in the primary sense.  If you research his life, you will see those Uranian extremes in him for much of same--eventually though, through the exercise and application of the Creator given Will, Cayce went more and more towards the positive and spiritual side of Uranus (in his inner nature) and started to balance himself out through attunement to the Christ based ideals within. His tendency to extremes can be found in all levels of his life.  Here are some excerpts for other people who had Uranus strong in their charts and psyche:

Upon either side of this, in a small circle figure, would be the symbols of Uranus; indicating the extremes to which the entity has gone and does go at times. Reading 263-17

This produces contradictory forces, that are indicated in Uranus - the extremes to which the entity goes at times, either in one or the other direction, and at times both directions at once. Reading 289-9

From the Uranian influences we find the extremist…. These [Uranian attunements] make for also the very intuitive influences and the abilities for the development in the very psychic forces of the entity. Reading 1206-5

Those of exceptional abilities with Uranian influences may be well said also to mean exceptional abilities to err, or to be led astray in the direction not best for….self’s development. Reading 38-1

It [the entity] is not only a Uranian but an Atlantean, and the combination will be something to deal with! As to temper, as to have it’s way; for it will have it’s way, irrespective, for the first fourteen years…[this was a reading for a child]
As for the aspects in the Uranian influence, we find the extremes.  The entity will be at times very beautiful in character--at others very ugly; very beautiful in body and mind--at others the extreme.  For these will have an influence, and the entity will be an extremist through the first fourteen years of it’s experience. Reading 1958-1

In Uranus we find the extremes.  Thus the entity in spiritual, in mental, and in material things finds periods when it is to the mountain tops and again the depths of despair.  Reading 3706-2

[Talking about the various different Planetary “sojourns” and influences from same] As in Saturn--that to whom all insufficient matter is cast for the remolding...either re-entering through those of the Uranian--which makes for the accentuation of very good or very bad, and making in their relationships… for extraordinary conditions;... Reading 311-2

We find in Uranus the extremes, because of an inner feeling; and not merely because of the age or of changes...in the material environs of the entity.  For, we find periods when apparently without reason outwardly there is the over enjoyment…and then others when it becomes rather the recluse, or morose, or...inclined to “sulk” as called by some… Make thy life… the well rounded life;... Reading 2443-1

Made the following point on another thread, and thought it was a very good one to talk about here as well.

Regarding the different cycles we go through in life as time seems to "move" and relating to astrological cycles:

It's not that a physical Planet is somehow "causing" any of this.  That's ridiculous and very superstitious of a notion (which I've met astrologers that actually believe this).  Rather what's going on is that because we live in a Reality of fundamental Oneness/interconnection, different levels of our little reality can mirror others. Our inner consciousness can be reflected in the Planets in a symbolic way.  It's more akin to Jung's concept of synchronicity than anything else.

More specifically with astrology, these kinds of on going present and future Planetary transits and cyclic patterns, represent our going through life and our change within of attuning to different other life/self patterns within our Spirit/Disk.

In for example, a person is going through a strong Saturn and Mars transit, some of their slower vibratory and lacking in Love selves or patterns will get temporarily highlighted in their life and/or psyche.  This is DIFFERENT than having Saturn and/or Mars strong in the birth chart.

Even folks that came here direct from the expanded dimensions that Sun, Jupiter, and Neptune represent, at some point in their lives, they go through Saturn, Mars, and/or Pluto cycles where slower vibratory tendencies and patterns can be brought up.  This can happen from within (other life/self influences from their Spirit/Disk), a lot of outside stress and challenge, or could happen from outside sources like a hindering book/teaching or negative/hindering nonphysical influences.  Or could be both or all at the same time.

I've gone through some of these cycles of all the above, and saw how the Planetary patterns matched up to a combo of what was going on within and without in various ways.
