The Zodiac signs symbolize more body/physical consciousness states and patterns, which relate more to the earthly personality and life of a person, and thus tend to be more influenced by outer conditions, events, etc and generally could be considered more "wavering" in nature. The Planets on the other hand, relate more to the deeper, less changing inner character of a person. This is because the Planets represent/symbolize our nonphysical experiences and sojourns in between physical lives. If for example, you were a fairly decent hearted person whom tried to be positive and kind to others, but didn't unusually or greatly exceed in this area--say you were more loving in the more commonly "personal" sense, you would like be attracted to the nonphysical, afterlife dimension that Venus represents.
Continuing that line of thought, say your Spirit decides to create another self to live another life, or more rarely the above Soul decides to directly reincarnate, then chances are, the Venus consciousness will be the strongest initial consciousness in the person's new personality. Yet, if a new "Disk mix" so to speak, there likely would be contributing consciousnesses and experiences.
Interestingly, Venus (the nonphysical dimension/consciousness state this planet corresponds to and symbolizes) seems to be one of the more common after life experiences and brought over influence. It is akin to the "Park area" that some connected to Monroe and/or TMI talk about. Not just that "area", but the areas near same.
Anyways, let's start with some excerpts from the E.C. readings, taken from people's "Life Readings" which outlined their combo of astrological and other life indications. As mentioned earlier, we'll start at the slowest vibratory and work our way "up" so to speak, or rather more accurately, faster vibratory/more expanded (more attuned to PUL).
Saturn as change and purification: "In Saturn as the beginning of earthly woes, that to which all insufficient matter is cast for the beginning" excerpted from Reading 900-10
"In Saturn for that cleansing that must come to all that have departed from the earth and have not kept the ways clean." Excerpted from reading 442-3
Psychologically, bringing over strong attunement to Saturn nonphysical experiences/dimension, tended to lead to a definite materialism and selfishness, as well as a strong tendency towards wanting change constantly--particularly in the attitude and approach of the "grass is ever greener on the other side". On the other hand, Saturn strong natally, or becoming temporarily strong transit wise, often indicated periods of sudden and/or violent change that is often testing and challenging in nature. Aura colors I associate with Saturn range from severe lack of light aka intense darkness as the kind found in psychopaths, to deep, dark green, to temporary showing up of deeper greens and the more positive use of same as certain shades of clearer and brighter, but deeper greens (the balancing color).
"Saturn would make for the entity having many homes, or many marriages--and these are not well in the experience if there are to be developments." Excerpted from reading 1431-1
"We find in Saturn the influences that to man, and oft to self, become stumbling stones or blockings of ways in which all the beautiful thoughts, all the good intentions come tumbling because of material or social hindrances." 2823-1
Regarding the death/banishment aspect of Saturn: "Q-What is meant by banishment of a soul from it's Maker? A-Of the will as giving in the beginning to choose for self as in the earthly plane, all insufficient matter is cast unto Saturn. To work out his own salvation as would be termed in the word, the entity or individual banishes itself, or it's soul." Is Cayce's guidance talking about a Disk/Spirit letting go of one of it's probes/Souls so it becomes dissolved into non coherence? Seems likely.
Mars as anger/wrath/madness and the fire of passion and desire. The colors I associate with Mars in an aura sense are regular reds and red oranges primarily--when combined with strong Saturn and/or Pluto at the same time, often dark, murderous, crimson type reds:
"From Mars we find a tendency for the body-mind at times to be easily aroused to anger. Anger is correct, provided it is governed. For it is as material things in the earth that are not governed. There is power even in anger. He that is angry and sinneth not controls self." 361-4
"In Mars we find anger, animosity, covetousness becoming the influences or force for detrimental activity in the experience." 1797-1
"Mars indicates the abilities to hate as well as to love." 2902-1
"In Mars and Vulcan (another label/name for Pluto, before it was officially discovered and named)--beware of fire, and especially of firearms, or explosives... Beware of wrath in self, and in grudges as may be builded (built) through wrath's influence int he relationships of the fellow man." 1735-2
We all know the Earth and what it's experience is like. No need to go into that, except to mention that the Earth is the emotional and mixed experience par excellence. Where all dimensions and levels can be expressed and mixed and attuned to to different degrees, combos, etc. It's where the most primary growth is experienced and experiences and choices we make here tend to either "make or break" us in relation to our experiences in the nonphysical.
Moon as softer, less sudden and less violent change: The aura colors I most associate with Moon are coral pinks, lighter, brighter greens (in the most positive sense), and grays of fear and worry. Moon strong tends to lead to a certain weakness of character, but not in any strong, or overt sense. More of a soft, feminine, passive kind of weakness where a person doesn't want to deal with harsh (meaning rawly true) realities about self, others, and/or life. A kind of distorted rose colored glasses towards self, others, and/or life. Moon is correlated with fear/worry (often a fear of fear) and emotional imbalance to some extent, and the term "lunacy" originally comes from the term "lunar" which is another for Moon. The Moon also had some connections to romance--partly in the lust and partly in the emotional attraction sense. People strongly attuned to, or rather indicated by the symbol of the Moon, tend to be overly attached to affairs of the heart and sex, similar in a manner to Venus, but a bit more base and lower center oriented way than Venus, but not as overtly sexual/lust oriented as Mars. On the positive side, a strong indication of Moon could indicate a certain amount of sympathy in a person. The Moon wasn't talked a lot about in the Cayce readings
"The sun indicates strength and life, the moon indicates change." 5746-1
"The moon's elements....bring the forces in love affairs." 900-6
"Being under the influences of the moon and sun also, we find in the sun the strength and in the moon, weakness." 2990-2
Mercury is an odd one in some senses, because it can range from the somewhat slow vibratory yellow of the intellectual mind, to the yellow golden of a wise, more love and Solar attuned heart-mind connection. Mercury is most often used in the former sense, but as it never strays too far from the Sun, it often is connected to the Sun directly by conjunction. Hence the intellectual mind can be infused by the Spirit and heart centered Sun. Generally speaking though, Mercury is very "left brain" oriented.
When strongly connected to the Sun in some manner, Mercury is often correlated with a pretty fast vibratory state--such as corresponds to a very golden yellow color. More typically, it corresponds to regular yellows and tans the more material minded, intellectual types. In that case, it is a much slower vibratory expression and attunement. Perhaps more than any other symbol, Mercury is most relative to and influenced by the other strongest Planetary factors in a person. Someone with say Sun, Jupiter, and/or Neptune very strong along with Mercury, will show a very different and "higher" kind of Mercury, than one with Saturn, Mars, Pluto, and/or Moon very strong as well as Mercury.
Nonphysically, Mercury corresponds to the "akashic library" dimension where all knowledge, data, and info is stored, and where Souls "study" various things from other lives, to astrology, to various connections between different systems, to material oriented inventions, etc. In a more broad, consciousness sense, Mercury also correlates to strong attunement to intellect and mind in various different experiences, whether earthly, nonphysical, or former ET. Souls coming in from the Gray ET experience or history, for example, tend to have Mercury very strong in their earthly charts.
"From Mercury we find the high mental abilities, and yet these may at times cause rather harsh judgments." 958-3
"Mercury--high minded; a thinker; deep." 2823-1
Talking about the experience of and attunement to various different other planets, then addressing Mercury "The Mercury influence of mental understanding of each." 900-14
"In Mercury, there is the influence of a keenness of perception in mental things; adaptable easily to some forms of mathematical problems, and for order or symmetrical activity in association with those activities of self; prompt in keeping the appointments to self, to others; slothful in forgiving those that would in any manner willfully attempt to deceive;..." 553-1
"In Mercury...a memory that if kept in a developing way and manner becomes rather unusual--as to data, as to facts or figures, as to statistical developments in any field in which it may be applied." 1252-1
"Sudden changes are indicated in Saturn; high mental ability and capabilities in Mercury; self centeredness in Pluto... In Mars a high, exalted opinion of self; which is well, but abused--as it may be in Pluto, or in Mercury--may become a stumbling stone." 3126-1 (this person definitely had issues and things to work on, and was a more immature/undeveloped Soul, which is why all of the slower vibratory symbols were strongest in their chart).
"The entity is among those who have entered in the earth during those years when there was the great entrance of those who have risen high in their abilities;* and...there must be application of the will, else the very abilities that have been maintained in the sun and mercurian influences will become as stumbling blocks." 633-2 * Cayce's guidance seems to be referring to Atlantean periods where extremes of both fast vibrations and very slow vibrations were experienced, often simultaneously within the same culture and sometimes even in the same individuals (the latter of which, we shall see, often leads to attunement to that symbol called Uranus--that of the extremes).
We will get to the more middle vibrations of Venus and Uranus some other time. As mentioned, Mercury can be somewhat slow vibratory-- somewhat close to the middle (think of yellow in the color wheel), or somewhat fast vibratory (near golden light).
