What do you think of this?

I've seen several of these NDE accounts but this one really hits home at least to me, esp starting at the 16 min point

I watched the video posted, plus the first one in his "My Testimony" series. I guess I find his obsession with death, as well as his goal to study all religions -both at such a young age  - to be odd. He also seems a bit intense. If I hear someone claim that "God spoke to them" or "God told me to do this" I tend to get suspicious. I also am skeptical of overly religious NDEs. One of the most impressive ones I've seen is from a Muslim:

Just my 2 cents. Smiley

Yes, that NDE is very impressive.  One thing that struck me was the following: "Finally they showed my parts of my future and how if I returned it would affect many other people and help them to see the Light."

Makes me wonder if our future is really predetermined.

I found them both interesting.

Mohammad Z's account of being conscious in different places and over a wide expanse is a familiar characteristic of being full consciously out of body.

Nathan Wheeler's description of light coming from everything is also common when out of body, especially in the higher planes. Astral matter gives off its own light, and to varying degrees according to its frequency or height. That is why it is called astral. I have noticed that even the matter of low astral plans gives off a little light, usually along the edges of structures where the sides meet. Perhaps the meeting angle causes the small amount of sub-visible light inherent in the sides of the structure to combine and intensify at the meeting angles enough to become visible. Slightly similar in appearance to some submarines and guided missile destroyer control rooms where the edges of things are painted in fluorescent paint so one can operate in the dark. He says he now knows heaven to be real so he says hell must be real too. This is the lowest Earth plane though; the deepest part of the planet. Its so dark here that we need portals like the Sun to bring in light, and we need to burn this plane's matter and use other methods like friction and electricity to make light. This is the plane we get stuck in forever until we figure out how raise our self out of it into the light.

The various seeming discrepancies between bible scripture and Christian practice do not bother me like they seem to bother Nathan Wheeler, saying he follows the Messiah but is not a Christian. I understand that the different denominations and their traditions and practices have a place and role to suit different kinds of people. A religion needs to bend down to people while at the same time assisting them upwardly. And people are different so we have required different religions and denominations to suit our differences. Underneath the different surface traditions and practices of the denominations within Christianity its all much the same message though, and that is mostly scripture based, so I see no practical need for Wheeler to claim to be a follower of Christ yet declare his dissociation from Christianity. I expect he has an emotional need to do that though. And ironically that may serve to carry his message of Christ's teachings to those like him who reject the church but may still be receptive to scriptural teachings.

How do you know all this chatter about "Out of Body events are/is true?

The message of Christ Jesus can be found in the bible, not through the human agents of the likes of Wheeler and his comrades of deception.

Please also do not mix up the perfect life, light of truth and mercy of Jesus Christ with deceptions of Satan. (Out of Body Deceptions)

You simply cannot bootstrap yourself out of the darkness of hell, into the holy light of god because if you find yourself still in the darkness after death, you are there for all eternity/forever and forever?.

Note please carefully?

There are absolutely no lower earthly planes, only hell or heaven and by our actions, during this mortal life on planet earth, we judge ourselves and plot out our own eternal destiny good or bad (Freewill)

The Devil comes as a messenger of light.

Thus; light on its own, without the perfect selfless love of God will lead to disaster and this is very dangerous and could change the eternal destiny of those who reject this warning and continue to practice or promote this wicked cultic practice of "Out of Body Experiences, which are reality nothing but delusions or illusions placed in the mind by the evil one

If you persist with this demonic evil practice during this mortal life, you will come to the realisation after your death, instead of ending up in heaven, you will find to your horror that you have awakened in hell,( from which there is no escape.)

Out of Body practices, are forbidden by the perfect will of Almighty God as a form of magic or witchcraft.

If during this present mortal life, you deliberately mocked God and separated yourself from his love, by persiting in this one act of your constant disobedience. (Out of Body Events)

After death you will reap the consequences, therof, and find to your utter dismay, that God, has in turn, done the exact same thing you, by him also distancing himself from you, (with one huge exception, you will be separated by God in retribution, forever in the awful real place, to where you belong namely hell.)

My final warning on the subject dont do it and live

Or Do it and die

Alan

The bible was written by men, and this is precisely the kind of conversation that distracts a person from lifting their thoughts to more positive, happier, healthier and productive ones.

This kind of thinking is not expressing love. It expresses chaotic and unhealthy patterns of thought. It is fear based, and it really has very little merit, overall, in my opinion.

How does this sort of conversation prevent me or anyone being happy and healthy...? Who's distracted? Who's fearful? And what are we allowed to talk about, seagull?

Actually we can learn from those with whom we disagree.  It challenges us to re-examine our own beliefs. If we find a post so objectionable that it upsets us, just pass over it. Sort of like avoiding certain foods that we know will cause heartburn. But we shouldn't presume to tell others to avoid such foods or to tell the restaurant to take them off the menu.

Yes by men, however, done under the direction of God!!

Your logic suggests that every word ever written in the bible has no merit is unhealthy and is fear- based, which is nonsense.

Take just the beautiful one example out of countless others, namely the beatitudes of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down.

His disciples came to Him,and He began to teach them , saying

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness,

for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for, in the same way, they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

There is a fear factor, but this is a healthy induced fear, namely the real fear of death, which comes to us all.

In Corr, Paul says that when Jesus has defeated the final enemy death, he will hand everything back to the Father and they will become one.
