Seeing it not there is a teaching that is found in Bruce's work.
I have a lot of respect for Bruce and his work, as well as personally like him.
But with this teaching, i've often wondered, what has more power, "seeing it not there" Or seeing, "what you want, what is helpful and constructive there."?
Because of my experiences and understanding how the subconscious mind works, i've realized that the latter is more powerful.
I'll give an example. If someone had a skin cancer on their arm, asked for help with healing, and i partook in their overall healing process--i think seeing the skin cancer not there on their arm could work, but instead i would prefer to instead visualize, see, know radiantly healthy, smooth, balanced skin there.
They are similar in intent, but the latter is more positive or Yang in nature, carries a greater active force or charge i think. The former is more Yin.
The Yin is necessary and comes in more in opening self up to the Creative, healing consciousness that is innately part of PUL and Source Consciousness. A kind of emptying or clearing/balancing of self, to allow better attunement to that which is healing. Once that connection is made, then one actively directs that energy, vibration, consciousness via thought-intention-will.
In a very real sense, it's not us who is doing the healing, but rather channeling that which is healing. Our part to play, is to get self out of the way. Course, the little self is also part of the healing, because some part of self has to have the intention, desire, choice to partake. Hence, while one can talk about Yin and Yang as separate and different sides of consciousness, there really is no separating the two, they are one, though different. Kind of like the left and right hemispheres of the whole brain. Or, we are One though the many and each unique at the same time.
