Hello Justin:
Thank you for sharing your experience. I see you had an experience where you didn't receive a confirmation.
This is okay. I've found that things aren't set up so you receive a confirmation everytime you have a spiritual experience such as a retrieval. It just isn't possible to provide information that can be confirmed every time.
I don't know if you have received a confirmation, if you haven't, one might come in a way that you don't expect.
For example, initially I would have experiences similar to your experience (with different details). One day while meditating I wondered if I was actually taking part in retrievals or if I was just experiencing my imagination. I was shown the cover of Robert Monroe's book "Far Journeys."
The pages opened and I felt page 144 and saw page 145. I had yet to read this book so I got it so I could see what pages 144 and 145 are about. Page 144 is the first page of a chapter called "Rescue Mission." Page 145 is the second page.
I felt page 144 rather than saw it, because the first page of each Chapter of Far Journeys isn't numbered. As far as I know, "Rescue Mission" is the first chapter where Robert Monroe spoke of doing a retrieval.
So you see, I received a confirmation that I was actually helping with retrievals in a manner that didn't include information about the people I helped. Isn't it interesting that I felt 144 rather than saw it, while I saw 145.
Even if you receive information about someone it might be hard to confirm. One night I had a dream that made the point that I helped cure a person of cancer non-physically. After I woke up I asked for information I could use to confirm. I was given the name of a person, the name of a hospital I had never heard of, and the name of an Island I had never heard of.
I did an internet search found that an Island by that name did in fact exist. A hospital with the name I was given existed on that Island. I emailed the hospital a couple of times in order to confirm if a patient with the name I was given was there, but the hospital didn't respond to my emails. Perhaps the information I confirmed was enough.
I believe it is because it would be too much of a coincidence to imagine two names for things that exist in the same place.
