My Mom's experience
Sep 16th, 2012 at 12:47pm

First of all:

My mom doesn't believe in ghosts and such.

She slept on the living room couch last night because of some physical problems (cancer related, she recently finished related surgery). She said she heard some noise in the kitchen. Then her mother who died a number of years ago hugged her and told her to be patient. She said the love she received from her mom felt very good. Then my mother's mom hugged my dad.

My dad told my mom it was dream. But my mom felt as if she was awake.

I hope the surgery has relieved your mother permanently from cancer.

Thank you for saying so.  I provided her with the below article with the hope that she would consider the cause of her cancer. It's hard to get people to think in this way when they are used to totaly relying on what Western medicine says.

http://www.nderf.org/NDERF/NDE_Experiences/anita_m's_nde.htm

Below is a key paragraph.

"I was shown how illnesses start on an energetic level before they become physical.  If I chose to go into life, the cancer would be gone from my energy, and my physical body would catch up very quickly.  I then understood that when people have medical treatments for illnesses, it rids the illness only from their body but not from their energy so the illness returns.  I realized if I went back, it would be with a very healthy energy.  Then the physical body would catch up to the energetic conditions very quickly and permanently.  I was given the understanding that this applies to anything, not only illnesses – physical conditions, psychological conditions, etc.  I was "shown" that everything going on in our lives was dependant on this energy around us, created by us.  Nothing was solid - we created our surroundings, our conditions, etc. depending where this "energy" was at.  The clarity I received around how we get what we do was phenomenal!  It’s all about where we are energetically.  I was made to feel that I was going to see "proof" of this first hand if I returned back to my body."

In the original link the quote in the part anita_m's_nde.htm is encoded to %27.
That code remaines intact in the url tag I used: url in square brackets followed by equal sign and then the target url.

If you quote that reply you will still see the encoded character in the url tag in the edit box.

More about encoding and decoding url's at w3schools.com, my true reference for internet programming.

I know my post is going to seem silly (but this goes way back to when I was in kindergarten.)

When I would even feel remotely sick I would close my eyes and go into my body with a squad of laser guns and kill all the bad stuff that was making me sick.

Funny thing is I remember it actually used to seem to work. Although I was really young.

I'm happy your mother had this experience, Recoverer, that she had an experience that was meaningful and encouraging for her. Isn't that what we all want in our time of need, to know someone is on our side?

With respect to Focus27, I used to do the same thing in my twenties, picturing my body fighting off illness. Later, I learned later that it also works to picture my body "in health" -- such as to vividly picture a time in my life when I really felt healthy and energetic, at my best.

This is the type of guided meditation that I seek out and I find helpful, those that guide my thoughts and feelings into a mental/spiritual place which is my personal goal. Results do follow. Lots of people do this kind of mental prep work in one form or another.

The results don't always "wow" me immediately, but in general it has always been beneficial for me. I've been doing these kinds of guided meditations for 25-30 years, and they've gotten me through many a tough situation.

However, it's not for everyone, and some people just don't want to participate in any kind of activity which hints at "mind control" by others. Personally, I'm grateful for it, as I don't know who or what I'd be without the beneficial influences which have graced my life. I am now and forever grateful to all those who have helped me.

Mogenblue:

Thank you for the info.

Focus:

I find it interesting that you thought to do that as a child.

Isee:

Thank you for expressing your happiness.  You did the same as Focus27. Perhaps an inner intuition.

Recoverer,

I'm so happy for your mom having this experience too.  To me it's silly to question whether it was "real" or not.  I've gotten waaay past that kind of limited thinking.  The loving feeling she felt in the experience is what was real, regardless of any kind of reasoning as to how or if the experience was real.  We now know that an experience doesn't have to be physically real in order to be real nonphysically.   Wink

Focus 27,

Your post is not silly at all.  It totally reminds me of the same thing I did as a young child when I was sick.  I had horrible stomach pain each night and so I made up alien healers who I imagined in their little space ship, hovering over me as they were removing the pain and bad parts from my body, replacing them with healed good parts.  It worked every time.  I used it for many years.
