There could probably be several descriptions. One is in Monroe's
Ultimate Journey,
where he first uses the word I-There, in a book.
Assume the following. Somehow an animal moves into the afterlife,
meaning that the animal has died. Somewhere along those lines a
Consciousness becomes manifest in the nonphysical, connected to
the animal, be it during the animal's life or after the animal's death
in the nonphysical/astral/afterlife/whatever.
This manifest Consciousness we can call the I-There or Disk.
The dead animal's mind/consciousness/soul/"stuff" is now linked to the
I-There/Disk, which processes input from whatever optional other creatures
alive in a physical world and also in other nonphysical worlds.
I don't think anyone has an idea about how an I-There forms. DeMarco
got the answer from "The Guys Upstairs" that they didn't know how
an I-There initially is created. Perhaps it "always" exists but more or
less visible at times?
Then the animal either is so spiritually developed that it doesn't want or
need to go through re-birth, that the animal joins with its I-There, being both
a union and an individual part of the I-There. So some kind of "no-self" existence
has evolved. But the animal can still be communicated with as a "self",
depending on view point from the external communicator.
If the animal chooses to go through re-birth into the physical, some important
part of its previous life stays in the I-There. This means that any creature,
most likely, very seldom is completely re-born. This also means that the
re-birth concept in Hindi or Buddhistic teachings is partly incorrect or
has at least to be viewed differently.
As the I-There/Disk concept sort of abandons a "complete" re-birth of the
creature, that could to some extent also explain why we have such difficulties
remembering "previous lives", as they are not really previous, only
connected to us in some sense, for example in the sense that we will
have an easier time performing some tasks, which our "previous" life
was skilled at, for example playing the piano or baking bread.
Nevertheless, the re-birth concept is still useful as each re-birth is overlayed
on all "previous" lives up to a certain level. Say that the animal (or the human)
is "reborn" 10 times. At some point the sum of all these re-births makes
the animal/human/creature reach a stage where no "further" rebirth
in the "overlayed sense" is needed or useful. There then remains the
other kind of re-birth, through assembly of "pieces".
The layer cake, the 10 overlayed "previous" lives move to the I-There and
become a sort of resident member of the I-There.
The resident members of the I-There still need to have more experiences
in the physical or other worlds. Re-birth is still needed for the I-There's needs,
whatever they are. So the resident members of the I-There, then take
"pieces" of themselves and put those pieces together into new re-births.
This means that someone born from a well developed I-There, consists
of several resident members.
This description of the I-There may not be correct and most likely I'm just
guessing, but I think that's one way the I-There/Disk concept has been
explained, at least in my mind.
I haven't completely understood how the re-birth and "overlay" of lives
work. Perhaps that could be target for a PE mission?
There are more mysteries.
One is that a person can be re-born from "pieces" of two or more different
I-There's. I don't know where that person ends up then in the afterlife.
There is also the talk about "graduation". Becoming a resident member
of an I-There is not a final step. There are at least one more step in
the sense that people can "graudate", become "higher" beings in some
sense. If that "graduation" is done on all "overlayed" previous lives
or in some different way I don't know.
I think that there can also exist "previous lives" who by some reason has
"dropped off" other Consciousness not even remotely related to human
I-Theres, but those foreign "previous life" can joined with a human I-There.
Then the I-There as a whole can graduate, and it can join with other
I-There's when the time is right. Anyway, in order to become
"complete", the I-There has to collect all its previous lives, be
they stuck in F 23/BSTs or otherwhere. That's one reason why
retrievals are needed.
During a lifetime in the physical at least, the I-There at several occasions
helps or gives the live person guidance in life. Sometimes the person makes
her/his own choices and sometimes the person manages to pick up on the guidance.
At some times the person picks up the guidance but rejects it or finds new and
better ways of doing things than the I-There has figured out. Exactly how
this guidance works is a mystery, but I think it is has to do with Monroe's concept
of
(M) Field manipulation, but it's not totally clear to me why guidance so
often is very difficult to pick up.
Several parallel lives from the same I-There can be present at the same time.
Some lives of an I-There are completely nonphysical and have other purposes
than we in the physical have.
wow...
now I've firmly settled you into a BST...
