Juditha,
I would not dwell on the power of a medium to predict a future event. You will give it power only with your belief. In the New Testament, as you know, it is said "ask and you shall receive," "knock and the door will open," as well as talking about the power of a tiny bit of faith with true conviction to move mountains.
So that is my message to you. If you cultivate the expectation that you will find what you are after (accept that it will happen, give thanks, etc), the door will open to you. This is been called a spiritual "law of attraction." While not predictable, it nevertheless seems to be part of our spiritual manifestation while alive. I have seen it in my own life, and often don't wonder why I don't use it more often. Its almost that I rebel against the idea that we can create these things....but I digress.
I would take this as a positive message, but don't sweat the specifics (like the messenger or the exact name of the person). If it is something you want, if you see it as already having happened, if you cultivate that feeling of certitude deep down, and give thanks, (some do this with visualizations of how they will look, feel, etc), then you will help to bring into your life that which you seek.
Interestingly enough, I see no conflict here with religion or God, as we are simply tapping into our own spiritual powers for a good cause. When used for harm, this law of attraction of course brings short term gains, but long term misery. But that is the nature of karma.
Best,
Matthew
