So we all talk about the afterlife....

Let's hear about all the cool stuff that happened BEFORE LIFE?

Before my life I'm sure lots of things happened, going off what older family members have told me and looking back through history.

Of course, I don't remember any of it as I wasn't born!

My earliest memory is from about 3 years of age, anything before that is a blank. So from this I can say so far that I have only had this life here and have no other valid reason to think otherwise!

That quote doesn't really mean anything, whether you believe that we go onto another plane of existence after death or you believe that death is the end of your life, knowing or not knowing where you came from doesn't really mean that you know or don't know where you are going in the end, in my opinion.

Hello,

Before I came down the birth canal of my mother, I was shown several scenes. One was the room where I was to be conceived, a room at my grandparents that was later to be my favorite place to stay, a room where I thought I recalled being rocked in a cradle.  Wink

Another time I asked my grandmother what had happened to the closet in their living room. She was halfway into telling me it had been removed back when my father grew up and left, then realized I could not have known about its being there.

These and several other memories were quite strong when I was young and then returned after I got into doing retrievals and other non-physical experiences.

One theory is --
As we get freed from physical limits, we begin to 'see' more and more. One concept that helps order the views we see is that our time is, or can be thought to be  on a loop  (like the old Super8mm movies of the 1970's.) By learning to watch the loop a person can see events without past or future.

If you do not yet have such experiences it's probably because your mind is very involved with outward events. Mine was driven inward and many decades have been quite quiet for me. However the capacity is there for everyone.

This is interesting Betson,

We often hear on the board that people in the mental or spiritual plane have no concept of linear time; for them, it is more changing from one state of being to another.  When Swedenborg tried to describe how human beings marked time to deceased spirits, it caused them great consternation, as they just didn't "get" what it meant.

I've often tried to reconcile this notion of "no time," with life in the present.  If linear time is only relevant for human beings in a physical body, then the notion of "where were we before we were born" may not make much sense.  Because in spirit, we always were in an "ever-present", and when encased in a body, we mark a past/present/future, it is possible that our afterlife existence is simply part of the ever present where we always abide, and there isn't a before or after, until we relate it to earth time terms.

Before life I did not exist. I began as simple particles, smaller than are even discovered or fully understood. Half of them male, half of them female. After the biological process began.... the combining of the two....I began to exist. Slowly, I was created. I became a thinking, living being.

Which, upon death, I will cease to be. But! Luckily, I will be consumed and utilized by other living beings!

I'm curious Focus 27 as to why you're on a conversation board about investigating the afterlife when you've already decided that there's no existance before or after this life?

"Just because in a normal dream, the dream character doesn't realise it's a dream, does that mean the person having the dream doesn't exist?"

There is no before and after life.  There is only life.

Generally speaking, folks in this particular Earth Life System follow the same pattern.  You showed up from "elsewhere" and decided, for one reason or another, that the human experience would be a good way to increase the quality of your consciousness.  Your oversoul/I/There/Disk sent aspects of Itself into various areas of Earth's timeline.  These aspects live, die, transition to Focus 27, and rejoin the Disk, bringing all their experience along for the ride.

Linear time doesn't exactly work when thinking of the Disk cycle but I hope you get the general idea.

Agreed, Doc M.

And in regard to what you said :
'If linear time is only relevant for human
beings in a physical body, then the notion of
"where were we before we were born" may not make much sense. ' --
I suspect we, or some aspect of each of us, are in the physical in the developing fetus. I suspect this aspect is in a dormant or semi-dormant state during these early stages.

It's really hard to think about, since time is so relevant in the question.

Who says Focus has made his mind up?

What he has posted is what he believes at this present time, it doesn't mean that he is set on it.

My initial post states that I'm not a believer in reincarnation as of yet, that does not mean that I won't be someday, I've just not had the relevant experiences yet.

I'm not going to take someone else's word for it and I'm sure Focus feels the same about the afterlife, there's far too many liars and fruitcakes around to do that.

Betsons original post is interesting though  Smiley.

One night I remembered what it was like just before I incarnated. It would be more accurate to say that I re-experienced this. I was with a being I was very close to. I felt quite concerned about incarnating. I told this being that I will miss him. (He seemed male, perhaps this was an interpretation thing.) He responded, "I know." I could really feel how I felt at the time.

One night I received information in the form of a being communicating to me. I was somewhere between the waking state and an astral state when I received this information. I was told that I helped with retrievals in the way I do now during my last incarnation. If I interpreted the information I received on other occasions correctly then we don't have to reincarnate numerous times. Rather, it's a disk effort. But perhaps there are some exceptions. It is possible my reincarnating this lifetime was an exception. On a perhaps related note, one time I was asked by a spirit being how is it that I know how to help with retrievals in the way I do. It is possible that this being asked me this question in order to get me to wonder if I've helped with retrievals in the way I do during a previous lifetime.

When it comes to the night in heaven experience I've mentioned on past posts, while I was in the higher realm I was in at the time I understood that this is what my existence is truly about, not life in this World. So in a way I experienced what it was like before I incarnated.

Reincarnation does not make any sense if there is no true time in the afterlife.  This is due to the fact that reincarnation assumes that life and spirit progress in a linear fashion.

If, as many sources suggest, time does not exist as we know it in the afterlife, then while we could choose to incarnate, it would not be an inevitable outcome, as many in the Eastern societies believe.

I had a series of past life meditations which brought me some tremendous understanding and focus on various aspects of this lifetime.  One in particular was dramatically remarkable.

In the meditation I choose a door by the symbol on it...this one had a crescent moon.  Upon entering I usually look at my feet, but as I looked there was nothing and I "saw" everywhere at once surrounding me and the appearance of a night sky with millions of stars.  I felt incredibly powerful, all-knowing, capable of anything with an exhilarating deep sense of love and of being loved to a level that was almost intoxicating.  Each of the "stars" began to surround me more closely and I realized they were all beings I knew and would see in the next lifetime, as we had been together so many times before, and the love and compassion increased along with the sense of confidence and elation.

I then got a sense of moving at blinding speed and there was a loud "pop" and the vision became a placid view of a new mother holding a baby in her arms.  I then heard "That was when you were born."

During this entire vision there was a second sense, or line of commentary in the background that, while I could "hear" it during the above events, it became more clear in meditation about the events.  In effect it dumped large levels of knowledge and understanding about the process and provided glimpses of the indescribable levels of love and caring on the other side...to my human mind, I was shown what I can only term the "greatness" of what lies before and after our incarnate lifetimes.  I have no qualms about what we face on the other side, and I only wish I could adequately convey the absolute sense of peace and happiness I witnessed...it would have a marked effect on humanity.

Oh Wow!   What a synchronicity, just the other day I was quite strongly wondering if i am a direct reincarnation of a Disk member.  I hadn't really thought about it before in that way, though i knew we had strong energetic and karmic ties.

Then, not long after thinking about this, i read your post (though i'm a bit late in responding).   In a way, this synchronicity seems to be a confirmation of what i was thinking is probably true.

I've had a lot of little hints here and there about this.  A couple that come to mind off hand.  Becky had a dream wherein she was talking to a sensitive, helper type in Greece.  The young woman told her our "spiritual names", and Becky couldn't remember mine directly, but she knew it was similar sounding to the Russian version of William.

I did some research on this, and i found out that Vasya is one of the common derivatives of the Russian name of William., and seemed to fit the most intuitively and feeling wise.

A spiritual friend, a very sensitive lady also with strong connections to the Cayce work, pointed out that it sounded a lot like, "was ra".  In the Russian language, V is pronounced more like our english W.  So perhaps instead of saying my spiritual name sounded like or was similar to Vasya, it was actually saying I was Ra?

One time i was hanging out with a new friend and with his friends, Becky and i played a game of trying to guess each others middle names.  I focused strongly on "projecting" my actual birth middle name, but when it came to my friend's turn to guess my middle name, for some reason he said "Ra".

In the Cayce readings, talking about the future life of a certain person, Guidance mentioned this future life and self in terms of long past Disk member rather than the immediate self who was present during the reading,   They referred to the "priest" reincarnating, and this person's name had been Ra Ta originally and later changed to just Ra after his physical and spiritual regeneration.

Becky also had another dream about ancient Egypt which confirmed certain info giving in the Cayce readings.  The dream dealt with two males, who were close to each other.  One was the figure Thoth, and the other man un-named.   The un-named man played a very public role in that life as a teacher type, but his friend Thoth was kind of more his teacher but for whatever reason, Thoth decided to be more in the background and sort of work through his friend/student more so.

His friend, the un-named man, was being psychically attacked by a group of what sort of looked like smaliish dinosaurs (the "Reptilian" E.T.'s?), which were very negative and didn't like the role and influence that the un-named man was playing (spiritual teacher and exemplar).

His friend Thoth, decided to help his friend, and this involved some sacrifice and pain on Thoth's part, but he did help his friend---he drew out this psychic "poison" being injected into his friend and took it into himself and transmuted it.  She said, both men were in preparation to ascend spiritually, but Thoth through his sacrifice to his friend did ascend in that life.

The Cayce readings speak a lot about ancient Egypt, and talk a lot about a guy named Ra Ta, who became a very public spiritual teacher type.  Ra Ta though, sought out one wiser and more aware than himself, and in traveling to other lands, found such a Teacher, whom the Readings referred to as "Hermes"  (the names Hermes and Thoth are interchangeable).

Cayce's guidance indicates two things about this Hermes/Thoth character.  That it was he who actually designed what is now known as the Great Pyramid of Gizeh, and the Readings very strongly hinted that this person was an earlier projection or aspect of Yeshua's "Disk".   Hermes/Thoth was the actual "architect", but his student and friend Ra Tah was kind of the project manager and director of the building of it.

Becky's dream seems to have been both a confirmation of Cayce's info, and a confirmation of other things more personal to me--my history, path in this life, etc.

One of the first sensitives i ever went to, when i told her about a particularly vivid dream involving the Pyramids of Gizeh, told me that i had been involved with building the Great Pyramid.

Plus, it would explain a lot of other things.  Like why i've been so focused on the Earth changes, and since i was young.  Ra Ta/Ra lived during a similar cycle as ours, during one of great change-transition, challenge, and of a lot of collective spiritual growth.

He was very precognitive in that life, and tried to help people prepare for the changes in both material and in spiritual ways.

Cayce's source seems to indicate that this self graduated out of our local system, went into other energy systems via Arcturus (the physical symbol of a dimensional consciousness).

This all is quite a bit of a personal revelation old friend, thank you for helping me figure this out.  It explains so much to me about so such (more than i'm going into in this post).

More over, this personal revelation comes with a very recent dream snippet of becoming aware it was time to don a new robe which was a certain color.  The color seems to represent what level or energies Ra grew in consciousness to by the time he incarnated as me.
