Why would Evolution give us an Afterlife?

On this site "Mind Energy.Net" I found a fascinating discussion on the existence or non-existence of an afterlife, and how did consciousness "spring" into existence, or if it was always "there".  I post the link to the conversation below, for any interested.

Other way round: Life gives us evolution; life is evolution.

Like Frank has always said: "Physical is the end result". And I very much agree.
Subjective realities are home to us, not the other way around. Death was invented as a way to objectively transport oneself into these realities: you can't have it that people disappear without a trace instead of a slow process of body disintegration. Although 15000 years ago the rules were not so strict and dematerialization was common.

Religion exist to limit your experiences and for you to surrender your power to an external being while keeping you ignorant of your Higher Wider Self and true nature.

The key is to recognize that mind is not merely a brain function; rather, mind uses the brain on the analogy of a transformer of  thought and emotion.  If mind exists apart from the time-space continuum, then evolution inevitably progresses both in and outside the time-space continuum.
