Faith is a little more than what you're making it out to be.
I have faith that when I get in my car it will get me to where I'm going, safely and without breaking down.
I have faith that come christmas time my workplace won't be low on work and then they show me where the door is so I won't have to join the dole queue with the rest of the wasters.
I have faith that my kids are really mine, they look like me but I don't know for certain, even dna tests aren't 100% certain, thus it requires faith.
My girlfriend says she loves me and that she enjoys our sex life, I can only take her word for these on faith. She could be faking it and while I'm at it, what is love?
I know it exists but there's not one shred of evidence to suggest that it does, does this mean that it doesn't?
I think not
.
Even science requires faith too
, a scientist says such and such a theory is correct, how do I know this to be true? It requires faith
.
As far as I know a theory is just that, not a FACT.
Even if the afterlife is proven by science it will still require faith to believe it to be true.
You probably won't agree with this but that's your belief which you are free to have and I'm free to have mine, the difference is I say an individual is free to believe whatever they want to without having others saying that they are wrong but believe in what I believe in because I'm right
.
As for what I could do for humanity, I would try to get people to think for themselves instead of being told what to think and do. If you're going to to that then you might as well be made out of titanium alloy and have Sony stamped on your forehead
