Hi all,
Just a couple of things that have happened to me which I think are interesting.
A few weeks ago at work, I'm a welder at a construction equipment company and I make the shovel for the front of a big machine. The arms for this shovel I have to load up with a magnet on a crane, this one time I was putting it in place when I felt wary of it, normally I stand next to it and put it in place, but this time I stood well back and next thing it dropped right by my feet. If it had hit my legs it would have broken them no problem.
The second one was yesterday,
My car is in for repairs as someone reversed into it and made a mess of it. I have been given a 2010 BMW 3 Series to use until I get mine back. I mention the car as it's worth about £28000 so is quite expensive. Anyway, I took it out for a run to see what it could do, at high speed I got the urge to look at the bonnet, I couldn't see it from my driving position so I had to purposely sit up to see it, I looked up at it and it was bouncing up and down frantically
.
I pulled into a layby and it hadn't been pushed down properly on one side hence why it was moving. The consequences of this could have been massive, the bill for repair for me not to mention that a bonnet coming off could have hit another car and seriously damaged it and/or injured or killed the occupants.
Has anyone else had this before?
Andy
