Mary Magdalene's Afterlife Vision
Jan 6th, 2011 at 3:40pm

Has anyone here studied the afterlife description in the Gnostic Gospel according to Mary Magdalene?  She is said to have described the soul's journey after death, and described seven stages of afterlife.

Apparently, 4  pages of the manuscript are missing  in the middle of Mary's description of her afterlife vision, or maybe, near death experience.

I only just discovered this connection/possibility recently and am curious to know what others here think.

Hi Cal: I assume you are talking about the dag hammadi gospels. I read a recent channeled work that states emphatically that the Dag Hammdi gospels were channeled works.

Sorry Seraphis, do you mean they were channeled then written down, not actual firsthand accounts, as some believe?

They are definitely not first hand accounts from almost everything I've read. I think it is word of mouth jotted down at least 70 years later, but there are quite a few people who feel otherwise, of course.

In 'Excavating to the Core' Cobalt Blue just kind of as an aside mentions that the Dag Hammadi gospels were channeled... thus I assume that means they told a story of what they were getting from 'Akasha??' thru the writers so they were not first hand.

Seraphis,

You would recommend this book "Excavating to the Core" and would also recommend the hypnotherapist Stephanie Riseley?

Hi Cal: I have had two session so far with her and going for my third on wed this week... uncovered an incident at birth that I had no idea existed that affected my life to date in the first session... second session I found a 'Hollow Heaven' incident and it is still there... working to resolve it.

So Excavating to the Core is important I am on my fourth reading of it... but I think Moment by Moment is need to compliment the Excavating in my opinion.

Hi All: Interesting rumination refering to Moen's 'New Technigue' thread and the fragments phenomena... as soon as I wrote the above I began to wonder am I a fragment off my powerful 'Hollow Heaven' persona... this entity... that I was (am?) reached a high level of commmunion with the Divine... am I a fragment of him??? is that my oversoul-monad??? am I here attempting to solve some problem (I-there) needs an answer to... is it really a Hollow Heaven or a spiritual evolutionary step... intriguing... I am looking forward to my next session.  Cheesy

Pretty fascinating thought, S.  If we are fragments, is someone or something trying to "retrieve" us to make us whole again?

Hi Cal: As I posed over at New Technique thread... how does this all relate to Monroe's Escape velocity idea... ? I won't go into detail... I will leave that up to you.
