Hi folks,
I was musing on the account in Bruce's first books of our connection to our disks. What got me is Bruce's account of various members of our disk sending messages or expressing themslves through us in this lifetime. He mentions a 'Snidely Whiplash' (?) character in his own disk who sent a message through, and described how it got through to 'everyday reality'.
Now I was thinking that this opens up a whole new can of worms as to how much influence the other parts of ourselves have in our own lives. When we're going through crises in our lives, is in the influence of members of our disk that keep us going when everything seems impossible? Is there (for want of a better term) a 'disk master' who acts as our higher self or oversees and administrates all the messages from other parts of ourselves? All those thousands of us, with their individual  characters, might be queuing up to send us information, help advice or PUL; who decides which bits get through or does it ALL get through in some form?
The other point you folks here may be able to comment on: channeling.
When someone channels a spirit or being, it that merely (!) another part of their disk? If not, where does it come from?
Looking back to me replies to Christiane's posting on mystics say the soul dies completely, I'm staggered by the range of my replies. Surely that didn't come from me? Either I know far more than I realise, or either Christiane's helpers are getting together with mine, or someone on my disk is linked with Christiane and has stepped in to channel his/her replies through me.

Now all of the above covers quite a bit of ground, so comments on as much or as little as you like would be much appreciated!

the quick answer is yes! 
I absolutely agree with your definition. My curiousity was aroused by the fact that at some point in each one's evolution, we'll remember the connection to source (disk) and pay more attention to the messages and guidance that come down the pipeline. I was wondering whether more info gets to us than we realise via the subconscious. Fore that matter, is guidance coming from the members of the oversoul disk?

From my experience and from what I've read from others, it seems that our disks influence us as much as we let them.  "Letting them" varies with how attuned we are to such inner voices and how much we trust them.

I feel I've met three individuals from my Disk who are about at the level I am, and also two others who have spoken with great authority. At our level of awareness there is much we don't understand and so we're advised to keep a sense of humor to make the best of our predicaments 
But there are many more voices in the community that makes up my Disk who have never contacted me, due to their having other involvements, I assume. The same as in my earthly neighborhood

Some Explorers who have more awareness than I do feel they are 'always' attuned with their I-There.  They sense the unity of the whole Disk more than I do and they operate from that unity.  They have adapted their Earth lifestyle so that they can keep such a connection. Awareness of such connection isn't casual but seems to take a kind of on-going peripheral focus.

My short answer would be that we have to have the intent to pick up such influences, intent that modifies our busy-ness and ego. Is it worth it?  I'd like to have a keener intent/more Disk contact because the information that comes through is ever more astounding!

I won't say it's like our disk/higher self is on the other end of a phone line, and some have a better connection and are influenced stronger, some have a less good one, and some never would pick it up. I guess it's more we are like a thread of thoughts of the higher self, and one thread might be discernable from another thread, but ultimately we are our higher self, just like a thread of thoughts we have ultimately is a part of us and is not existing separately.
