Tell me why...
Aug 10th, 2010 at 10:38am

If our lives here are opportunities to "train" our souls toward perfection, and the earth is truly a school in which to do it, then it seems like we would be best served by not knowing the truth about our immortality. Why are we allowed to "know"?  I ask this question not as a skeptic, but as a seeker. I expect is seems a little naive.

Different people have different needs.

Plus, I believe a time will come where most (if not all) people will be in touch with the spiritual part of their existence; nevertheless, life in this world will still provide growing opportunities that otherwise don't exist.

There is also the viewpoint that to some extent our souls have got stuck in our learning lessons, and becoming conscious of the spiritual part of ourselves while here in the world will play a part in motivating us to do what we need to do to become unstuck.

Also, this world is quite messed up, and if more people were in touch with the spiritual part of their existence rather than believing life in this world is completely what existence is about, they might live their lives in a more positive manner.

I've found it very beneficial to be aware of the spiritual part of my existence, yet life in this world still provides me with some growing opportunities.
