Hi Guys,
I started thinking, after getting Monty Python's Autobiography out of the library and being reminded of the value of humor, that I wanted to speculate about things I'm grateful for to escape that, “waiting for the other shoe to drop” feeling that could be at the bottom of what's happening today.
Many of us in the world may be experiencing multiple system crashes if for no other reason than the expanse of our communication systems to the point where the whole world knows about every little crisis instantly and everyone's business ad nausem. If there ever was a time for us to share a little PUL, this is it!
So I asked myself what are 3 things I'm most thankful for just to prime the pump and was surprised at the outcome. They are:
1)That the 1950's thru '60's family sitcoms weren't true and that I would need to seek answers on my own as to why they weren't. 2)That my Irish Catholic mother was a crazy person that also needed to find her own answers which gave me the permission to become a seeker. 3)But mostly that I have found cheap chocolate mint cookies at the Family Dollar and that I hit pay dirt for answers with Bruce, Bob, and all of you guys.
Bottom line is that I learned that PUL is sometimes found in very unexpected places and that so is forgiveness.
So I cheated a little, I snuck in a few more that 3, but I really felt the PUL in your responses to my wish for good thoughts to help us through our current worldwide challenges--its sweetness was like a sweet melody softly flowing thru the vehicle of the Internet-it truly was palatable.
Love all you guys, Jean
