Why do some choose to be incarnated into retarded or brain dead humans?

Have you ever sat there, and just thought of nothing? It's really not that bad.

I agree it is nice, but what do you gain from it?

Hi

Maybe they are souls who've never incarnated on Earth before and just want to get used to the basics, like breathing air, eating, etc.

Regarding the varying states of consciousness possible in this world. Well, there are many gains in life, no matter what the circumstances. Who can place a value on any given moment in life. We learn by experiencing different kinds of relationships with people, and all of life. Life learns from itself this way. Love learns from itself this way. We are surprised by what we learn and how much we love, no matter how 'imperfect' the circumstances. Sometimes the true meaning is found afterwards.

Indeed. And "brain dead" is an euphemism, is it not? If you are truly brain dead, you are dead.

If you mean someone who is comatose, it is an unsolved mystery to this day how conscious these people are.

If you mean retarded people: Only they themselves can know how they experience their consciousness. Consciousness is subjective business.

That is something I hadn't heard before Bets, but it makes sense.  I have also heard that retarded individuals along with invalids provide great soul benefit for both the inhabiting soul and those who take care of them...the level of difficulty in both their lives is increased, making the value of the experience dramatically higher.
