Vicky, thanks for those "training wheel" suggestions for developing one's ability to have and recognize premonitions.  I read about how to do these things, then forget about doing them enough to make them a habit.  Thanks for reminding me.

I agree with Vicky, George. You have a real "talent" for connecting.

Let me ask you: Say Jesus (YesH U A) asked you "George would you rather  live forever as a 30 year old man but in this same body only younger or move on and become an Angel who can live as he pleases....which would you take?  I should start a new thread for this if I open it up to the others i suppose but I wonder what ever one thinks about that. Hell, it could be any age even 6 but never grow old once you have returned to your 'proper" age. What do you think?

Vicky, is it kind of like deja vu? Like a weird 'shiver' of some kind, or is it more subtle?

Hi Pat,

You're welcome!

Hi B2,

Is the way in which I experience a premonition like deja vu?  I guess it would be very similar to that feeling.  But I would say that deja vu is knowing what is about to happen very closely to it actually happening, so close as a matter of fact, that while the feeling of deja vu is taking place, the unfolding of events is also taking place as well.  Usually right on top of one another.  There's such a minute "time distance" between your psychic reception and the actual event.

But a premonition seems to have more distance between receiving the feeling/knowing/vision of what's to come and it actually happening, giving you more time to process what you experienced, even if the premonition comes to you only seconds or minutes before the actual event.

Premonition feelings and psychic feelings, for me, come with a sense of feeling so certain about something that there's no doubt about it.  It's also a feeling that seems to come to me immediately, and then a moment later rational thinking sets in and tells me "You don't know that.  There's no way to know that for sure.  You'll have to wait and see."

I'd say that the immediate psychic "sure" feeling has a very distinct difference from that "rational thinking" feeling.  So for me, in order to develop my psychic abilities, I have to learn to not only trust that sure feeling and ignore the rational thinking-feelings, but also learn to notice what I am feeling just a split second before I receive that sure, psychic feeling.  I want to learn what it is that gives me that sure feeling about something.  I also want to learn how to turn it on and put it to use, rather than just being surprised when it does happen.

Hi vicky.I had my first vision at the age of 7,seeing people searching for something. They would pick something up,look at it,and put it in a bag.I would hear knocks on our back door at night, that would wake me up,but nobody there.all my life I have been having visions, seeing someone in my room.seeing people who have died, telling me to tell there wifes or husband that they are ok.saw a monk 4 nights in a row.he would at 4 in the morning,he was as solid as I was.I would wake up and look at the clock, and he would be there smiling.sense then,I would have a small light on every night.they still come around smoking in my bedroom.I did not mind the perfume, but not the smoke.George

Hello Vicky,

"Is the way in which I experience a premonition like deja vu?"

For me it's been a mix of deja vu and premonition lately. When that 'hey, wait a minute' feeling comes along there's also a memory of when I previously "back in time" had the images/thoughts of the "current" scenario. Also a simple recurring thing is seeing one person, which somehow brings up an image of another person in mind, then that person is the next one I see, regardless of corners and whatnot. It makes me laugh cos it's not a feature expected by rational thinking ('the physical is all there is'), but mostly because it seems so utterly useless. Since I don't play the lottery, maybe this is where I get my money back. Maybe it's an exercise of recognizing the signs of being in the zone. Maybe something completely different.

You are only dreaming you're old...actually George, I am dreaming your old, but I change my mind. You are what ever age you feel...you want to be.

George,

What did your family and friends ever think about your psychic abilities?  Did they believe you, or did you tend to not talk about it much if no one understood or believed?  Did you ever practice trying to develop these skills?

So Volu, can you pinpoint when you were first consciously aware of receiving the future information?  Like, in the "past" when you received it, were you aware of it then?  Or were you only aware of it once you "remembered" the memory of receiving it at the time of the future event taking place?

I know it's confusing but I know what you are saying.  I have had the types of experiences you're describing.

About seeing in your mind the face of the next person you're going to see...who knows, it might come in handy one day, especially if there's someone you want to avoid.     Smiley

I too have had plenty of "useless" psychic experiences that I used to get mad about, thinking "what a waste".  But instead, I've decided to learn from them, learn how they work and what else I can apply them to.  What I've found is that a lot of psychic abilities work in combination together.  After having many different types of useless psychic experiences, I began to get better experiences showing me how the different types worked together.
