I May Be Haunted
Mar 17th, 2010 at 1:04am

Brief background.  I took part in Gateway Voyage at TMI in early December.  I had worked with most of the Gateway Experience CDs before and have continued since, usually listening to a Free Flow 12, 15, 21 or Gateway Take Home Exercise 3 to 5 times a week.  I am very left brained and don't visualize well.  While I achieve the focus levels, I don't feel I have made the connection with Guidance or breakthroughs that others have.  I've worked through the Afterlife Knowledge Guidebook exercises through the first Retrieval exercise, but mostly felt I was pretending so have put further work with that material aside for the time being.

Today, I visited Marc, my chiropractor and long time friend.  He has been treating me for over 20 years and knows me well.  We both belong to the same Buddhist sangha, although he has been following a different spiritual path the last few years.  We talk about such matters during my visits, including my interest in Bruce Moen's work, my work with the TMI material, etc.

Shortly after I arrived in his office today, he asked if I was still doing the consciousness expansion work.  Then he told me that he had sensed as soon as I came in the door a crowd of entities around me.  He said they were all neutral, i.e. none were malevolent.  He said they seemed to like the attention they were getting from my activities, even though I have been completely unaware of them.  This is the first time Marc had ever perceived this sort of thing as to me.

Marc was concerned that one of the entities might be a significant drain on my energy.  This entity seemed to be insecure and looking to be mothered.  As Marc was doing his chiropractic and energy balancing work on me, he suggested we both politely suggest to this entity that he move on along his path.  After awhile, Marc said he was going to ask an angel to come and help in moving this fellow along.  At the end, Marc said the entity had not transitioned but had loosened his attachment to me.

I did a Free Flow 12 after I got home and asked for Guidance in moving all the crowd along as well as sent messages to them to move along, politely of course.  But I didn't have any sense of a response from either Guidance or any of the entities, although some of the images I perceived could be related.  So I don't know if I am still trailing a crowd of entities or not.

I'm not scared, but I really would like to perceive my visitors myself and be able to interact more directly.  Perhaps what I have been doing is having more of an effect than I have felt and I'll have a breakthrough sometime soon.

Has anyone had a similar experience or do you have any thoughts about my haunting?  We all know about haunted houses, but carrying my own crew of ghosts around seems a bit much.  Smiley

Haha. Yeah that would certainly be most interesting. I would suggest maybe getting into contact with a renown medium in your area or something like that. Or whatever you feel to get more information about it. If you were to get outside influence, I would just mention the idea of it and not that it's been revealed to you it's a crowd. If the medium/psychic/or whatever is a fraud you can find out more with the less that they know of the situation.

This gives me a great idea on a new concept for a TV show in the respects of Entourage.   Grin

Hi Pat,

I agree with StoneCT that the view of another sensitive to back up (or not) Marc's vision might be a good next step.
Also please make sure that you pay attention to your own health, especially nourishment and rest. Spectrals do take some of our energies.

What is your goal now from your afterlife studies? I wonder if you are aiming high enough. Guidance is a worthy goal but it won't come from 'hitch-hikers.'  Smiley
Historically Spiritualists have had their troubles, I think due to the deep exhaustion of allowing spirits into their energy field.

"I see you not there"  repeated firmly over a period of days seems to discourage such entities. This website had some extensive discussions on that several years ago but I don't know how to access those back up.

I should have added in my message that one of my goals has been to contact my daughter who died in October of 2008.  From a session with Caryl Dennis, I am sure she is doing well in Focus 27 but I want to contact her myself.  My other goals include doing retrieval work (once I figure out how to get beyond just pretending) and exploring the afterlife for my own knowledge and growth.

Perhaps I've been putting too much "mother" energy out there during my sessions.

Bets, I'll try the seeing them not there technique, although it's a bit tricky since I'm not even seeing them there!

I don't know if its germaine to this discussion, but I have been told that certain obsessive thoughts can cause energy that attracts types of beings that "feed" on that energy.  I received a "clearing" to rid me of those thoughts, the energy and thus the stray "beings".   I don't know if it worked but the obsessive thoughts are certainly gone.

Hi Pat. I agree with StoneColdTrue, if you're going to get a second opinion on the spirit crowd thing, don't tell anything about it, or you can't be certain. If another one as well claims to perceive this crowd, you could ask for details about those spirits and check it against details your chiropractor is aware of. I would be sceptical if someone tells me those things.
You said you do not do well with visualization. In my experience, many people don't perceive anything because the process is such common that they simply overlook it. Think of this: You want to buy new furniture for your appartment. You certainly would think about what kind of chairs, tables, rugs etc. might fit best; now, how do you do that? You must have some sort of imagination. Or, when you remember something from the past. Or when you want to drive somewhere, you somehow think about which way to go. Exactly this is it. It's not necessarily the vivid detailed 3-D vision. So, as you said you do well in feeling the different focus levels, let it be accompanied by this kind of imagination, like you ask yourself: How could this focus level look like? If nothing shows up, imagine a fitting landscape (or space-scape Smiley ) for each focus level. Once you have such an imaginated "site" it is much easier to perceive something, as then you use this site as a means of perception; something there might show up which (at least when you look back at it after you wrote it down) is unlikely you have made it up yourself. The same goes for imagining helpers. Once you have this start, it's easy to go on.

Thanks, Sparky.  I like your advice on visualizing and will incorporate that into my practice.

A recent developments update.

Marc continued to see my crowd of entities for two more months.  The second time, they seemed to be maintaining a respectful distance, so he didn't do anything.  The third time an older woman was very needy and he called on a guide/angel he works with to help her transition, but had to call in reinforcements to get her to move along.  The others he left alone.

At the suggestion of a fellow Gateway Voyager, I contacted a Native American healer who lives in a town 30 miles from my home.  During a long and most interesting session with him, he declared that he had sent the entities, which he called just "dead people", on to the spirit world.  His view of what we call here the afterlife is pretty negative as to those stuck in the earth plane, rather than those who have moved on to the spirit world.  They are dead people who mostly have bad intentions and are hazardous to us still living.

The next night I had an appointment with Marc again.  He said the entities were gone or at least much further away before I told him about my session with the healer the night before.  He thought perhapsI had learned some way of setting boundaries and keeping them away, but so far I have not and don't know if they will be coming back if I continue working with the TMI material.

Hi Pat,

Congratulations on finding a method/ person for clearing out those folks!

Try not to think about them as our thoughts tend to connect us with what we think of.

Did the healer give you any information to keep them away, like types of incense or diet?

Hi Pat, I did Gateway in October.

I also had trouble visualizing... at least to the extent that some folks in my group did.  Very frustrating.  I wanted the technicolor experience but never got it.  I got other stuff.

I think a guide introduced a game to play shortly after I got back home.  It is something that I tend to do in Freeflow 12 or 15, when I don't have a pre-planned agenda.  It's basically picturing yourself in a completely white room with a solid colored beach ball on the floor.  Then visualize the color changing to a different solid color that you pick, say from red to blue.  Then start interacting with the ball by kicking it against a far wall.  Gravity doesn't need to apply.  Then add more balls.  The exercise just grows with more elements that you add to it.

I think it has actually helped my visualizations a little, but it has been months since I've used the tapes.

Regarding the ghosts, maybe TMI can market it as a program feature?  Come alone, leave with a crowd.

I would urge caution in assigning meaning to this in your own life.  Usually, the gulf between Focus 27 and our plane is substantial; no one from there is "hanging around."  That would mean any hangers on would be "stuck spirits."

It is unclear to me how many guides or angels we truly have, and how often they are "with us."  I don't really believe in the image of each person surrounded with hangers on, as I think the primary focus of life incarnate is to think and act on one's own.  Free will seems to be a key factor in earth life (sorry Spooky - I know you think all will is conditional, but I will leave it at that for now).

The problem I have for people who see hangers on everywhere is that they use it as a crutch or excuses for the actions of the living.  "Oh, he drinks to much, but I see 3 malevolent beings around him, coaxing him to do so."  This, to my mind takes away the responsibility of thought, action and thinking/acting on love of the affected person.

I'd be interested in how often this chiropractor sees others attached to people, and then how other psychics agree or disagree.

I do think for Pat E., that positive affirmations are a key way to assert your dominance and individuality.  You, as the incarnate person have a mllion fold higher connection to the physical plane than any hangers on could.  You can see them as gone for the higher good.  You can ask for peace, love and guidance.  You can meditate on this while relaxed and I have no doubt it would work.

But I guess I'm just somewhat doubtful about all these hangers on really being there.

Also, Pat (and this I feel is very important), it is your own intuition and senses that matter most in spiritual matters.  If you don't sense any other entitities, they may not be there.  You can see them as moved on for the highest good if you feel you need to.

But this was the chiropracter's impression and it may be wrong.  The Indian shaman did what he thought he could to help, but I venture to say too that he likely knew you came to him with this "diagnosis," so he acted on the assumption that it was true.

The danger I find in listening to others describe hovering entities is the negative change in your thought based not on your own perceptions but that of someone else.

Thanks, all.  I don't think the "knowledge" of the crowd has had any particularly negative effects on me.  Just as my left-brainedness and groundedness in the physical have kept me from visualizing and perceiving in the nonphysical, they have kept me from perceiving or being affected by these folks.  The one good thing is that it has given me encouragement that my efforts at using TMI CDs to visit Focus 10, 12, 15 and 21 before and after Gateway are having SOME effect, so I'm sending even if I'm not receiving.  Marc attributes the attraction I have for them as a certain mothering energy I'm sending out.  He says compassion is good but I need to rein in the mothering thing.  Since my explorations were initiated by wanting to contact my daughter who died in Oct., 2008, I probably to send more mother energy than might be wise.  The ones Marc saw as energy drains he saw as being very needy and drawn to that energy.

Bets, the healer gave me some herbs to burn and use in other ways along with some prayers to way while burning.  In the nature of smudging a room or house.

Matthew, thanks for your thoughts.  I always appreciate your posts and observations.

Hi Pat,

You may want to check out Linn's forum unless you already have.

Many contributors there are very familiar with and support TMI and Bruce's retrieval work. And since Linn is a psychic and former contributor, you might want to ask her directly about your visitors. She's at:
