You know I respect where you're coming from, but I don't understand why people just automatically slide all those things together in one sentence like that, as if it's just got to be the express route straight to hell....and there are certainly sources who also suggest that we take care how we approach such things. But, I don't personally believe that spirits attach themselves to us that way. Not that I really want to get into this discussion too deeply, although it is interesting. The point is, joy and happiness and love are experienced in many ways. There is no need to assume that a particular experience is 'bad' or 'addictive' -- that is, unless it actually is. Only you can say.

Some people say spirits can do physical things such as drink alcohol, take drugs and have sex.

If this is so, then why do some sources say that people who are addicted to the above attach themselves to humans in the flesh so they can continue to enjoy their cravings?

I figure life without a physical body is going to be somewhat different than life with a body. The higher you ascend, the more you won't have anything to do with body based activities such "Ah Choo!"

So, Brian, if someone is able to prove to you that there is no sex in the afterlife, are you not going to go?  Or would you spend the rest of your time in this lifetime depressed about it?  For me at least, in reading Robert Monroe's and Bruce Moen's books, I found many things that are far more interesting to consider, wonder about and someday explore than whether you get to have sex.  But, of course, if that is your hangup......

Thats what I have been saying.

Quote:
Why would it have to be either/or, one or the other, what is so limiting about the very idea of it? What is physically joyous to us here on earth we can take with us. What I think is important is to leave behind the negativity and culturally instilled guilt for what is, essentially, a beautiful thing. I think we can take anything with us that is meaningful, and why couldn't our experience of heaven be a gradual process which includes all kinds of differing experiences, as well as grand and engulfing magnificent loving 'allness'? I really don't see why our imaginations must be limited in any way whatsoever.

My understanding is that in heaven we are essentially energy in motion.  With a thought we can manifest anything we can imagine.  We can become a man, we can become a woman...we may be able to become both and effectively copulate with ourselves, but I cannot imagine being in heaven, with the capacity to indulge in an all-encompassing, fully-involving sensation of love, compassion, acceptance in merging with another soul, and choosing instead to attempt to stimulate a limited portion of our manifested anatomy to relive a moment of ecstacy for what?  Old time's sake?

To each his own...

I'm not saying you can't, shouldn't or won't attempt a version of physical sex in heaven, rather that there is so much more and upon your entry therein you will become aware of so many amazing opportunities that the brief, simple moment of bliss created through a manifestation of physical sex will seem trivial by comparison.  However, I believe in heaven you are free to do whatever you want limited only by your imagination, so sex in any form or manner is solely your choice.

I am all for physical sex and enjoy its physical and spiritual benefits tremendously, all I am saying is that in heaven I expect more...I expect a fully engrossing, soul-filling, on-going orgasm.  That's all.

I understand where you are coming from and now I agree with you, but maybe in heaven the physical sex will give you everything you could want from sex and maybe more like what you described, fully engrossing, soul-filling, on-going orgasm. Perhaps both a soul merge and regular intercourse, perhaps a million other things. Who knows.

No one can prove or disprove the existence of sex in the afterlife, nor can they prove or disprove the afterlife itself or god/gods for that matter. So I don't know where you are going with this.

I would also want to add that sex should not be categorized into the same group as drugs and alcohol.

Hi Brian,

If you don't believe that this site is active in ' prooving' the afterlife is real -- in showing the ramifications of it and in showing people how to get there to experience it for themselves, then why are you posting your questions here?

That is what we do here, as I see it. We discuss the afterlife from our own experiences. Bruce Moen, the site host, has found a method of accessing the afterlife, and he makes that available to everyone. Not everyone here has tried it, true, but I think almost everyone is intrigued by these experiences.

This is correct. I made it here because I reached a state of being after closing myself from the idea of an afterlife for so long. I started researching some answers and found this site and have found more answers. I think this is a very important purpose for me to make this discovery and I am slowly transitioning to further exploration. I've been reading and posting to this forum and haven't read much of Bruce's stuff or made any attempt to discover the afterlife for myself. I just don't feel ready yet. But I will be eventually. I think I would rather find someone who would be willing to make the discovery with me.
