Warning Kundalini experience:

While doing the ‘Feeling Love Exercise’ in AKG I believe I had a Kundalini experience in what might be described as the classic fashion… I.e.. warm energy flowing up from the coccyx or generally from the area of the pelvis.

Since BM uses exercises that tap energy fields below and exterior to the body and above also exterior to the body… it is easy to get the three fields mixed up for people who don’t have some background in it.

Kundalini can be a dangerous force to awaken and it can be awakened spontaneously (may be the source of internal spontaneous combustion - a rare phenomena).

I’m posting this because almost any inner mediation regime can trigger it. The best procedure I was taught early in my Yoga training using breathing to guide the K… energy into the brain… this is where it wants to go. I have heard of varying degrees of power in the awakening and depending on the force of it you can have varying degrees of intensity… but the primary symptom is ‘heat’ and upward flowing energy… intend for it to go into the brain and guide it there with breathing… that seemed to work well when I had the experience yesterday afternoon.

I often have what I would call Kundalini rushes as I go out of body or meditate, especially my Mer-Ka-Ba Flower of Life Heart meditation. I started to have those rushes at the Monroe Institute at my Gateway and did not know at the time what was happening. It can be substantially reinforced with M-state, or High Spin Trace Elements such as ORMUS, which also causes Hemispheric Synchronization just like binaural beats do. Using both binaural beats and ORMUS is a sure way to have them, but they are not the goal, of course, just an adventure along the way.

Feeling Pure Unconditional Love can certainly induce such a rush, and the energy can be directed and channeled in to many useful pathways. Such is the subject of Kundalini Yoga. I do not think it is a dangerous force to awaken, as it will not unless the vessel is prepared. And it is but a tiny bit of what wll be coming soon....IMHO

Yes, breathe with it, and fear not.

I've found that as you grow spiritually, blockages to energy flow happen quite naturally.

When more energy comes into your life it can be used in more than one way, so it is important to make certain that you use it in a wise and loving way.

From my read in the web and in books, it is quite foggy what a Kundalini experience is, and what, for example, is a Satori (Japanese Zen) experience. Are these two experiences very different, or somehow related, or more or less the same?

Hi tgecks: The danger comes from intensity... the literature I encountered states that there are seven layers to the force itself certain kinds of unfortunate forcing techniques will cause the layers to bleed into each other and very serious illness will occur.

If you are not well grounded in the lower three chakras you will exhibit some very unstable mental conditions which modern psychiatry recogonizes but does not understand as premature kundalini awakenings.

Monroe in the Gateway series has a built in safe guard which prevent you from over radiation... I wondered why my two samadhi experiences with gateway were so subdued when I returned... I recently realize Monroe has a suggestion in the affirmations which prevent over exaultation.

Hi Spooky: My opinion is it is more or less the same or roughly in the same realm... if you look at it as a gradation of experience then there are degrees of experience... but, it is a very elevated state of consciousness and awareness.

Caligula:

The most important danger of Kundalini is its potential to be the basis of the erotic potential… be clear there is a difference between erotism and lust. Erotism is a very high form of conscious awareness of sexuality. Lust is a degeneration of sexuality and an absence of the potential of Divine Love…

The Romans thru the Greeks had the mystery schools which knew most of what we know… and Kundalini was one of the powers they were able to access… Tiberius was probably the agent of Caligula’s training in the awakening of the power… but if you turn the Kundalini power downward into the lower chakras then it produces the lust drive which will destroy you in the end.

That is the biggest reason one uses breath to raise the energy into the brain which in effect energizes the Crown Chakra.

I figure kundalini is another name for the creative/energetic aspect of being. Whatever it is, I've found that it can be quite powerful.

Early on during the unfoldment process while meditating, I would occasionally have a full body twitch and I would hear the energy slam against the wall of my house. One time a water bottle was about 10 feet from me and I heard the energy crackle through the bottle as I twitched. I'm not certain what happened on those occasions, but it may be that a spirit tried to mess with me and I instinctively pushed it away. Eventually such twitches became unecessary.

When your kundalini is alive, spirits might become aware of you that otherwise wouldn't notice you, because your energy becomes more noticeable. So if you're going to awaken your kundalini, make certain you want the extra attention. If you allow it to ascend naturally, it is more likely to do so in a manner that matches what you need.

I've found that even though kundalini can be powerful, it can be quite neutral.  It is up to you to determine how you make use of it.

I've read what various sources say about kundalini, but for the most part I rely on what my own experience tells me.

A key thing I have found is that the more you let of limiting thought patterns that cause energetic blocks, the more freely your energy will flow, and the more balanced it will be. A lot of energy that isn't balanced isn't a good thing.

Thanks Recoverer. I found some parallels in what a Zen master told about his way. He said with practizing Zen false limits would dissolve and one returns to one's full potential.
