Hi Juditha.
I've re-written this post several times because it just doesn't sound politically correct, but here goes anyway. Just to preface that my family lost most of our family members both in the concentration camps and the gas chambers so I might be reasonably expected/justified to be 'anti-hitler'.
I am coming around to the belief that things are pre-ordained before we arrive on earth. That is we plan out the theme of our life with our guides and trusted elders, the things we want to achieve and the challenges which thwart our progress which we want to overcome.
I think as a part of this, we set up contracts with others to interact with us, in order to set into place the achievements/challenges for this lifetime.
I also believe in free will.
With this in mind, it occurs to me that people like hitler might be also contributing to helping others achieve their own chart goals. We read past life stories of people who were torturers in one life deciding to be victims in the next, to fully experience the interaction from both perspectives (call it karma perhaps but I think karma is self imposed)
I think its unlikely that Hitler's chart for his most recent lifetime included killing millions of people in the most inhumane way and becoming one of the most hated and wretched people of all time ...
But perhaps he agreed to come into this life to give others the victim experience
on a far smaller scale than what occurred but free-will / ego / greed / chemical imbalance / evil (whatever you want to call it) intercepted.
It could just be that he was just evil which I think most would prefer to believe, as it takes the humanity out of it. Could one of us do what he did? Its much easier to believe it was at the hands of a force outside of humanity.
Can you imaging what this individual is going through now in the afterlife, knowing how wrong things went with the blood of millions on his hands. 99.99% of society would say he deserves to "burn in hell" which he most likely is self-creating and thus participating in.
Does he deserve forgiveness? 99.99% would say no but that is a purely personal choice. Although I never met my family members who perished under his regime (and I guess I might feel differently if I did) I can feel a small amount of compassion and forgivness.
Where does god fit into all of this ... ? I don't know. I can only use the context of my current life experience as a father knowing he has to let his kids get hurt sometimes in order to grow. To shield them from all of life's harm is to stunt them and rob them of the full experience of life. Perhaps on an eternal scale, this is what is going on at God's level.
Quote:hi alan i have never beleived that our loving god would have allowed hitler to come on this earth and do these terrible attrocities against the jewish people, after all he was born with freewill like the rest of us.
he chose to do these evil acts with the one thing he received from god his freewill, and hitler turned his freewill into being the devils advosary.
hitlers mind the way it worked,i cant even comprehend that he was human,my mind cant understand how this man could have caused all this pain to man woman and child, and never ever felt any mercy or remorse for his crimes against humanity.
everytime i think of him,i only see this image of hitler sitting against this rock in the lowest crevices, its damp, its dark, there is slime falling down his face constantly,if a good spirit goes there ,he turns away from it and starts hissing and spitting at it,thats the only vision i see of him
love and god bless love juditha
